Definitely helped in my first draft that there was a few guys who know jack shit about hockey. My friend had the 2nd overall pick... he chose Subban. I'm hoping I get a good spot in this third draft.

Puck drops Wednesday at 7PM, pretty safe to say all 6 Canadian teams have no chance once again

Anaheim and NYR look real good again this season, wouldn't be surprised to see them in the finals.

Sneaky pick is Detroit they're always good and showed Chicago they can hockey in the playoffs

Who's going first? Crosby?  Stamkos?

Montreal has a chance....now that doesn't mean there's a bunch of teams better but it's possible.....everyone else in Canada will have it tough making the playoffs....

Detroit's got a chance for the same reason Montreal does....they're in the east.....but yeah....good coach...datsyuk and zetterberg....the kids looked good last year....

NYR's D looks even better...coach is going to have the players he wants....still though....

Boston....

If Bernier doesn't get injured, I would say the Leafs have a good shot of finishing 6th-8th. Phaneuf finally has a guy who can log minutes and let him play on the left side in Robidas (the guy was skating alongside Kessel and Nylander, two fastest forwards on the the team, he's 100% healthy) and the bottom six is completely revamped, filled with guys who have strong puck possession numbers and can actually play hockey. They can also finally roll 4 lines because they waived Orr and McLaren today, couldn't be happier about that.

Third team: 2nd overall. I don't think this team is as strong since this group of friends all are so into hockey, and advanced stats like I am.

Stamkos
Benn
Parise
Couture
St.Louis
Kesler
O'Reilly
Gaborik
Moulson
Nyquist
Kreider
Schwartz
Perron
Weber
Pietrangelo
Krug
Josi
Visnovsky
Rask
Luongo

Yeah....with Price healthy....they aren't much worse than the Rangers.....hey....no doubt they get more coverage than they deserve but that's what happens when you're the best and most popular  team in Canada...

You said a chance.....you cant say Detroit has a shot and MTL doesn't....

Yep....TO could grab the last playoff spot but man....everyone is just waiting for them to implode to change management....shouldn't make a difference on the ice but I bet it does.....Didn't Nylander get sent back?  Robidas?  You're buying it eh?

I'm all for Carlyle getting canned, but Nonis didn't have a bad offseason whatsoever because the majority of the teams moves were heavily influenced by the kid who will most likely be the next GM, Dubas. Nylander going back to Sweden is a smart move because the kid is tiny, and he needs to develop, and the Swedish League is more competitive and skilled than the AHL, as the AHL is filled with NHL castaways and one dimensional goons like Orr and McLaren who can't play hockey. Robidas was able to log big minutes in Anaheim after the first leg break, and he looked solid in training camp and alongside Phaneuf in the preseason. It's like he never broke his leg at all.

Shanny has his guys and Nonis will be the odd man out...everyone is just waiting for Carlyle to get sacked...I'm gonna guess the players feel the same way,,..Robidas is 37....he's a good guy to have around but a full season with the leafs is a long season.....

Hoping it'll come together this year. I think our goaltending will be fine--knock on wood--and our offense and defense is a force to be reckoned with. If we grind it out every night we could snatch the division from Chicago's hands easy.
