I enjoyed it, he’s not afraid to step out of the norm. Good to see someone mix it up. Kinda reminds me of Gou Miyagi with a different bag of tricks.

The stuff where one foot very briefly touches the ground is cool. The rest is parkour. Rio Morishige is part of the year though and this video overall is insane.

this! He has that Gou influence, but he’s also super gnarly and can get tech too which is what makes it his own thing!
This part will be talked about for years to come, but I don’t think half of the skateboarding community will even get this part for a good 5 years…

Unless you are personally bumping this thread, no it won't

I can guarantee you a lot of people said exactly the same thing about Gou when he first unleashed his type of skating on the masses … if it’s not your thing, that’s fine, but he really is one of the unique (and surprisingly well-rounded) skaters in Japan at the moment!

Fuck it, after watching the same switch flip crook style of skating for so many years, I found this a breath of fresh air. I even enjoyed that grating song: reminded me of a Japanese take on crash worship or something.
Definitely get that this isn’t everybody’s cup of Genmaicha, but that creative/absurdist approach to skating had me all up in my happy feels.

His IG clips are always great and this part was no exception. Love how he does weird shit with his mean style. That nollie one-foot was beautiful.

I liked that a lot more than the Gou Miyagi part.....So count me in the backing it camp, song and all.

Only tricks I'm not feeling are those cross-legged landings.
