Forrest Edwards dropped that unhinged part almost six years ago, since than I haven't seen much footage of him. Is he still only flow on Zero, will he be in the new Zero video?
The dude absolutely crushes it on a skateboard and is better than more than half of the pros out there. Where is Forrest Edwards these days.

"We were scheduled to introduce Forrest and drop this board last October with a video part and an interview and ad in Thrasher. I knew what I was getting myself into with Forrest, and in the beginning it seemed like we could work with him, but in the months leading up to when the part was scheduled to drop he got harder and harder to deal with.
Our crew tried to connect with him to film and shoot photos for his interview and the ad, but he’d always flake, and the few times they did hook up with him, it was a nightmare.
His footage was all over the place and with a bunch of different people. When we finally got it all together, some of it had been used, he had tons of repeats and a lot of HD fisheye, so we didn’t really have a part. He also only had one sequence for his interview and after 3 months of reminding him, we still didn’t have an ad, so I sat down with him to try and discuss a plan, but he just shut down; it was too much pressure. I felt like it was going to be a never-ending headache, so I pulled the plug and told him it wasn’t going to work out. It was tense for a few weeks, but after a bit, I think Forrest understood the situation. We’re cool now."

not that crazy - if you're talented/skilled in something yet have really shitty social skills ; this prevents a lot of personalities from being part of larger work forces.
Also comparing him to Spencer Hamiltion (whose been fully sponsored by brands like exp 1, supra, krew etc) to a dude whose been in flow purgatory is incomparable.

I agree with you. I just wish I could see more Forrest footage or ride his board. Maybe he can get with Weck and get on Square Up Skateboards. I mean they are the toughest company in the Biz. If Weck can't keep Forrest in line no one can.

Didn't even need to go that far, there's tons of assholes in skateboarding. On one side I see why Jamie didn't go further with Forrest, but I think he didn't try to at least teach him some basic stuff before giving the boot. I mean, just look at the stuff with Kobra Cole, I'm sure telling Forrest to wait for his boards and stop fucking up the whole marketing process wouldn't be that harder.

I love the guy and wish he was living comfortably (not sure if his sponsors are doing that for him) but, I think he may be on the spectrum or something that's why he may seem hard to deal with and responds to things the way he does. Was hoping that he'd at least stay on Pig Wheels

I went to a mystery/zero demo maybe around 2013, I got there an hour early to skate the park myself. I figured due to skateboard time the demo wouldn’t start for a couple hours. The van was already there but not that many people were there yet.
I didn’t recognize Forest at first but he was flailing his board around, kicking his board away like a crazy man, Bailing a full 360 kickflip kinda looks kooky. He didn’t land anything for 20min.
Then proceeds to basically do every trick in all these videos perfectly, for 30min. The demo starts and he’s just sitting between two cars, over it bumming cigs. His bloard was new but looked so soggy and chewed up after and hour of skating.
I don’t blame him I wouldn’t want to sit in a van with Garett Hill, cobra, etc. but you could tell those guys were pissed.
Plus Jaime probably made a trick and spot list for him.

He got his once in a lifetime opportunity and JT was even willing to put up with his shit and he didn't do what every skaters dream about (ad, interview in thrasher, pro board). It seems like this was his dream. Maybe he's got an addiction or some other shit going on, I just dont get. We need a jenkem interview asap.

Forrest may definitely be on spectrum, which sucks for him, because people like Chief will only put up with that for so long. If Forrest had another mental or physical disability people would tolerate his nonsense since he's incredible, but since were not sure if he's autistic or not...will just label him as a Kook and throw him out to pasture

Looking back on these videos makes me think he’s maybe one of the best to never go big time.
It’s been pretty clear since OIAM that he’s kind of abrasive. That’s not a non-issue when it comes to most skate sponsors.

That thrasher part had 8 different filmers. Someone in video prod could tell you better, but i'm guessing that's possibly 8 different cameras with different color settings, filmed in different styles.

I'd bet that he lives a crazy unpredictable lifestyle and is very hard to be around for long periods of time. He takes the people and opportunities around him for granted and probably doesn't even do basic reciprocal relationship things like clean up after himself, communicate plans, or be accountable.
He's a lot like the rapper papoose. I bet somewhere right now, papoose is rapping or about to rap, and forrest out there skating, or about to go skate.

I've meet Forrest before. He was super nice to me, that being said I do not think he would get along with that squad. They all seem too positive/tight knit. He is more of a lone wolf type. Could you imagine Heath K on Primitive?

I'd bet that he lives a crazy unpredictable lifestyle and is very hard to be around for long periods of time. He takes the people and opportunities around him for granted and probably doesn't even do basic reciprocal relationship things like clean up after himself, communicate plans, or be accountable.
He's a lot like the rapper papoose. I bet somewhere right now, papoose is rapping or about to rap, and forrest out there skating, or about to go skate.
We just aren't there to see it, and they don't value themselves enough to capture it. I don't even like papoose or forrest, it's just crazy to see people blow it when they clearly "got it."

i remember an interview (maybe even the recent 9 club) with billy marks where he was talking about how strict jamie thomas was with filmers/ camera settings- so they could not use any homie footage ever of any trick and just film with (maybe) mike gilbert who was fallen filmer at the time.
so i see forrest producing with different filmers A LOT but maybe the "how" to produce footage was more of teh problem- it seems!
basically two different angles at doing something wich gets problematic easily..... so i think if somebody was cool with forrest letting him "do his thing" i cannot imagine that he would not produce!? i mean, see what parts he came out with so far!
