I will repeat: the fact that you didn't understand the concept of blackface does not mean you are not racist. 15 year olds should understand that when a white person paints his face black and acts in a goofy way that he would not otherwise act, that not only is it distasteful, its fucked up racism. Also, it has been made clear that you have been to your myspace recently. So its not like you haven't had the chance to change it since you were 16 er, I mean, 15 now. You have had the chance. I fucking hate moronic kids who refuse to come to grips with their own racism. Not understanding why you laugh at minstrel shows doesn't mean you are a good person, it just means you are an idiot and a racism. You try to turn it on me like I am acting holier than thou. First of all, if it was, that wouldn't change the fact that you laugh at minstrelsy. Second of all, I work with black kids 5 days a week, and the other two I have to deal with ignorant rich kids from the suburbs and their inate racism, so I'm not just looking for an issue to make myself better than you. Its something I see a lot of, and it pisses me off. Consistently inate racists like you say things to me like "your being too sensitive," and "stop acting so holier-than-thou." How about this: Open your mind and stop being such a prick. Sorry if you are embarassed that I point it out, but stop using the typical racist defense that I am being too sensitive rather than admitting that you are acting ignorant doesn't make you right, it just makes you more ignorant.
Also, I don't know what the hell "The Bayou Classic" is, but I sincerely doubt that you going to one event will ever convince me that your words and actions differ. Why didn't you just tell me the classic "Some of my best friends are [describe group you offended here]" line? Same thing.
