What aspect of skating did you particularly enjoy today?

After two years of rehabing my knee im finally skating again. Its been 3 weeks since my first sesh and it feels like everything is starting to come back for me.

Best aspect of today was relearning fakie hardflips at the local spot with all the homies.

Last night, I skated downtown to the flatspot to dork around and randomly met up with some casual acquaintances who ended up bring a flatbar.  My filmer buddy wound up meeting us later on too.  We all left the plaza and went on a fun little filming mission. 
Got a couple lines and clips that I'd been thinking about for a while.  I don't really film or skate in a group very often so it was a refreshing change of pace.

Having one of my students tell me to stop being a bitch when it came to re-learning fakie heelflips. which got re-learned within three tries after be called a bitch by a 13 year old.

And in general, skating with middle schoolers on a daily basis. Its actually way more fun than skating with people my own age. at least the 13 year olds still find my fart-jokes halarious.

and had a really good session even though the park was kinda crazy crowded when I got there.

Yesterday I skated with my best friend who had acl/mcl/meniscus surgery back in September. This was pretty much his first session and although he took it really easy it just felt great to hang out and skate with him again. Out in front of his his on a homemade ledge/rail/flatground, nothing exciting; just good company and good times.

I skated actual street for the first time in a while, and remembered how nice it feels to be grinding on some grimy stone as opposed to skatepark ledges. Also my buddy taught me to no-comply properly, fucking love that shit.

In reference to Saturday as I haven't been able to skate since Monday.... eating shit and not landing the trick i was trying, but coming close and knowing that I might be able to do it once this pesky heel bruise from monday clears up.

Haha I really enjoy to do those when cruising at night. But I really enjoyed skating at the local DIY park at 4am without having any knee pain or instability. It's always fun to grind curved concrete coping with a nice speed.

Skated my new Ed Devera 7.75" board at Memo in SD and figured out tre-flips on flat again, landed a bunch of crappy/so-so ones and refined my technique to get some good/better ones in the bag. The ground is butter smooth but I figure it'll help to learn them there and take it somewhere rougher in the streets.

Skated for the first time in a couple of months since surgery on my knee. Cruised with 4 friends and skated a manny pad and this ghetto quarter pipe a little bit. Felt so good.
