Since ATMdick ruined the BEST COVER SHOWDOWN 2006, I'm starting the absolute worst cover of 2006 thread. Here are the contenders.

For an ugly shot and using a contrived pentagram-in-the-sand...

For a dope trick but absolutely disgusting photo...

For an ugly shot and using the words "Text And Violence" on the cover...

For a self-made spot that wasn't all that great...

For BASE jumping...

For sniping Big Brother's same trick, same spot, same dude shot from 6-7 years ago...

For great composition but a "meh" trick...

For putting Duffel on the cover without it being absolutely necessary...

For being quite possibly the worst photograph of the year...

For its "mehness"...

you are completely wrong about arto's cover, that spot is raw, pop out of the front board then do the drop, that spot looks pretty sketch also and the herman cover is pretty sick

artos, hermans and rogers cover were all dope.

you cant go around talking shit on switch tres down 12 plus look how perfect of a catch that is.

hermans is just raw as fuck, a neat angle to.

artos is a dope trick and the comp. is quality.

the worst ones were the base jumping and danny way.

Hands down the Transworld with Burnquist going off the grand canyon... lets be real, thats not skateboarding, thats "stunts". skateboarding is getting into the streets with your friends and having a good time and just having fun, bombing hills and manueling curbs, not getting a camera crew together for the discovery channel and going off a cliff on a skateboard with a parachute.

Ponts is sick but, the February 06 Thrasher cover is a confirmed bail, so that's a bag in my opinion. Plus, pentagrams and heartagrams are beat.

The transworld cover, sure grinding off a rail into the grand is crazy but it's not a cover shot for a skate mag - would of had a better feel if it was just a seperate feature inside as it is mad - just not what I want to see on a cover.

It is owned by AOL Time Warner Inc so that explains alot.

Dway one is NBD trick on a skateboard, so maybe not your or my cup of tea but totally worthy of the cover.

that herman cover is horrible, so are both of the stunt covers.

arto's cover on the other hand is dope and totally doesn't belong to this thread.

yeah arto's cover is really good. i'd buy the mag cause of that cover.

on the other hand, jereme's is complete shit, wrong timing and gross outfit. don't like the covers either. don't understand why noone mentioned this before.

Arto's could have been better or a different trick - When Menikimati came out he had a cover of front board on El Toro

Jeremy Rogers - looks like he's on his way down like most of his tricks the catch is still pretty sick

It's pretty easy to hate on Danny Way's and Bob's covers - way too easy

Bieble's seems like that got him a pretty nice check.

Corey's cover is pretty bland - not much to say

Kenny's cover isn't that bad with Dan Murphy and a Towel on his head and his dog there, but I think the funniest thing is that Kenny was not even on Zoo anymore and it was pretty known at time that this cover came out, but he had a zoo shirt on - I wonder if he got and incentive for that - I'm sure he didn't

Worst cover was - Brian Herman I didn't like the trick and the angle was shitty.

The Bieble cover on the big brother was a heelflip. This is a nollie heelflip. Different things. ONe you pop off the nose,the other the tail. So, uh, yeah.
