It's alright. I've been skating nothing but prime for about 2 years now.
Me and my buddies turned our skate crew into a company of sorts and my homie already had a friendship with someone at prime, so it worked out real naturally.
I feel like there might be some quality control issues. Maybe 1 out of 4 boards will snap right away. Then others will last 2 months. And I've had some that chip up really bad. Like crumbly chipping, falling apart.
Before that; I was skating nothing but Bareback wood for 12 years or so. Now there is some solid wood.
Compared to bareback, a prime board is thinner.
I've been riding an 8.25. The wheelbase is like 14.625. Little longer than most. And I like it. Or at least, I'm used to it now. About 6 months ago I got a SK8Mafia (bareback), 8.25. But the wheelbase was smaller. And it felt weird having my feet close together. Also, a bareback 8.25 always measures a little under 8.25. Any size for that matter. While prime is right at 8.25. So it's actually a little wider than a bareback.
