I was thinking about this the other day, but now that Jonah's movie has been out for awhile, has he said or done anything related to skateboarding since? He was repping it super hard for promotion and I get that, but I haven't heard from him since.

Yeah Mudhoney is awesome, I saw a free show they did in Georgetown and afterwards we had Chad Channing (Drummer from nirvana who did Bleach) at our glass studio and made a piece for him. I met Dave Grohl at an old place I worked at and got to talk with him for a bit.

I skated with Aesop at Nike park a few times in Portland. He’s a super nice dude and has a mean impossible. He’s also like 9 feet tall.

There is some recent mini ramp footage of him out there while he's skating his mini with his kid (or at least I think it's his kid).
And it said that he 'came back' to skating or something like that and 'punks being punks'.
Long story short, you could see he was a bit wobbly but you could also see that he had tricks on lock back in the day and the muscle memory was still there...
Feeble stall, rocks to fakie, 50-50 grinds and he came out of the mini really comfortable. You could just see he skates/skated alot.

I was thinking about this the other day, but now that Jonah's movie has been out for awhile, has he said or done anything related to skateboarding since? He was repping it super hard for promotion and I get that, but I haven't heard from him since.

I used to live kinda close to him in Yellow Springs area, he really is one of the coolest people ever. One time at the DC plaza, this kid approached him asking stupid questions, Dave asked how old the kid was, he replied 15, and he just straight up took the kids cigarette out of his mouth and smoked it.

Does DJ Douggpound count as a celebrity? He's probably most famous from various Tim & Eric projects and The Eric Andre Show but he works mostly behind the camera. Anyway, he got tricks in all the Fancy Lad videos. Can clearly see why they are friends, they share the same sense of humour. Nope. Chappelle got into skating after he ended the show. He mostly just called parks and asked them to stay open for him to push around on his own in the off-hours. Absolutely nothing wrong with that though. When stories about him started popping up in 2004 in Tampa and Raleigh, people had nothing but great things to say about him. He just wanted to learn more about skating, have fun and meet people.

He also says he was really bummed out because he lost most of his skate footage in the hurricane Katrina floods. Hes mentioned it a few times and seems genuinely bummed

Nope. Chappelle got into skating after he ended the show. He mostly just called parks and asked them to stay open for him to push around on his own in the off-hours. Absolutely nothing wrong with that though. When stories about him started popping up in 2004 in Tampa and Raleigh, people had nothing but great things to say about him. He just wanted to learn more about skating, have fun and meet people.

He’s got like 1-2 tunes that I like he made a tune around 98-99 that I heard ...and it was years before his label got big (with the high contrast releases - who’s actually can make really good tunes)...Nutone is probably the next decent
Hospital actually released an artist around 2005/2006 whom they had to drop a few years ago due to islamaphopic tweets ...weird bunch of artist for sure

I never would've imagined it, but it would be awesome if true. I'm really not into most of stand up/podcast comedians, but Mark is cool. I also stumbled upon him through Norm, who is a fuckin beacon of humour, probably the smartest and funniest guy last 30 years.

He also says he was really bummed out because he lost most of his skate footage in the hurricane Katrina floods. Hes mentioned it a few times and seems genuinely bummed

Noah Lennox aka Panda Bear from Animal Collective took up skateboarding in his late 20's/early 30's or something. He's friends with Atiba, Spanky, Patrick O'Dell, Jason Dill and probably some other skaters too. In the credits to Mindfield, the only person Jason Dill thanks is Noah (which I found curiously odd for some reason). The music video for his song "Comfy in Nautica" was directed by O'Dell and features Clark Hassler.
