Plan B is the new world industries, market wise.
wow, so true.
If it is then they are fucking up. Rocco himself said that if you are aiming to sell to little kids that pros don't matter, and its all about graphics that attract them.
just how Flip used to be on top of their game, all those gay graphics.
exactly. used to.
with the ever-expanding media/contest juggernaut, i think kids care a lot more about pros than you might think.
You are a fucking idiot. An 8-12 year old kid buying his first skateboard doesn't know about any pros, and has no idea who is good or bad. Not only that, they don't have a shape that they prefer. Kids want the cool looking skateboard, and at that age, mommy and dad foot the bill, so that demographic has a lot of money to spend. I am basically just repeating what Rocco's theory, which was unbelievably successful, was. By the way, we aren't talking 20-30 years ago, we're talking about the last decade. The mountain dew extreme gnarly cup or whatever its called does not have very good ratings, they are ok, but its not like any Joe Shmoe knows any pro that doesn't have an Mtv show. Yeah, teenagers know who Sheckler and Bam and all of those guys are, but the kids just getting into the game and who fall under the "flameboy" model are mostly are too young for Mtv. The idea is you get them while they are very young, get them comfortable with your brand, and make them a lifetime buyer.
This isn't just some theory I am positing, it is a tested approach that has been proven to be VERY successful.
