This very same Tony Hawk Falcon 3 was my first real skateboard with a graphic.  When one popped up for $90 on ebay, I didn't hesitate.  It's an original from 2001 and not a reissue, silk screened not heat transferred.

Then I said fuck it and got a bunch of these guys at a great price too, they're the reissues however. Always was the best color for that board

Nice, Akira cell frames. I still have an unopened set of Akira prints somewhere back in the UK. Such a classic. Where did you pick those up? Mandrake in Shibuya used to sell cell frames, but I never saw Akira ones there...
[close]

I've been collecting Akira production art for 15 years and was lucky enough to get introduced to Joe Peacock, who runs the 'Art of Akira' museum - http://geekout.blogs.cnn.com/2011/09/03/art-of-akira-exhibit-blows-anime-fans%E2%80%99-minds-around-the-world/

We became friends (over Skype) and when I had some cels damaged in a move, he kindly agreed to let me buy a few pieces from his collection. With the precondition that I can only sell them back to him. I tend to buy one or two Akira pieces a year (Birthday/Xmas) and focus on complete set-ups with original backgrounds. It's become a bit of an obsession to be honest.

You might want to dig out the cels you have to check how they are doing in storage. They have been going up in value rapidly as of late, largely because the big dealers like Mandrake, Shibuya, BlueBlade and Nichibe Anime have been running out. There are usually a few on ebay though - http://www.ebay.com/bhp/akira-cel

you both make me very happy w the world.

Caved and bought a PS4. The main push was my 360s power block died for the third time, and my work gave me a bunch of free PS4 games. So far it feels lightyears ahead of my old 360.

I'm tempted to buy it too, seems really nice. The limited edition was incredibly expensive though.

id say the regular edition is well worth the 50 or so bucks its selling for, if you have the money to blow on a book. i agree about the limited edition price being a bit outragous at $500. you do get a signed copy and a one of a kind drawing from ed, but if you ever meet him in person, chances are that he will draw something for you.

Bought these Samsung Media player from a friend for 25euros. It's basically an android ipod touch and with Sd slot, so now i can fit more music than in my old Nano 8gb! Oh and go to the internet since i dont have a smartphone. Its not the best but its a upgrade so i'm stoked!

Also not really a purchase but i saw the valentines present my girl bought to me in her carbag... Nike Free OG! Soooo hyped!

New shop deck (new all American wood and new shape, had to try it out), and new Eras, all black upper with an all gum sole, and a set of ear plugs because the person I live with sleeps in like three hour intervals throughout the day and likes to be up at random hours making non stop noise.

Nice score.
Definitely 411 #26 and #27 were my first skateboard video buys when I started. The Adrenalin/FIT section in 26 rules I still own it. I sold off 27 for like $60 bucks on ebay like 8 years ago all because of the Plan B section. But rad find dude!

I love that movie. If you can still find Tokyo Drifter get that unless you already have it, they may be available on zee torrents still. Suzuki kills it.
