It's just one of those things where I'd never heard of Macklemore until I saw his show at the Outside Lands festival. My friends wanted to see his set and I didn't think he was anything special, but as soon as he started doing his whole Liberace number I couldn't take it. I felt like a tool just being there and being surrounded by all his audience. This was a couple summers ago when he was less popular. I'm just not a fan of his music; he has nice hair though.
Same thing happened to me when we saw Ok Go play there and I actually thought they were alright beforehand because of that treadmill video. Something about being in a crowd and being around the fans for certain music just kills it for me sometimes.
