There's not much of a story with me going to visit slap. I just kinda talk shit to Whiteley periodically, it wasn't a huge dramatic thing. He invited me to come down and check it out. I went, got some free slap shit, met him, ate some tacos and took a tour. I don't hide my opinions in real life, I think a lot of me doesn't translate to text, and really, I'm actually just an animated version of myself on here. I still hate Reagan, have extreme left-wing politics, love hills and transition and shit, and find rail skating boring. Shit just comes off crazy on here, and sometimes, instead of pulling back when I realize it, I embrace it.
Oh, and that one dude may have pulled back on claiming that hill bomb took no skill, but plenty since him have claimed it. That shit takes skill for sure. Stupidity was part of it for sure, but its that awesome kind of stupidity that produces great skating. And although a stupid bro might try a hill like that after a couple of jager bombs, he wouldn't make it very far before eating shit hard. John made it to the bottom of the hill, he just fucking died after it because there was nowhere to go. If you watch the angle from the top, there is a part that dips and he lofts up for a second. That could take out skilled hillbombers easily.
also, longboarders? Yeah, they can bomb bigger hills on those set ups, and can't stop for shit. That's why you see them on country roads but you don't see much of them in SF. A dude fully padded and on a 5 foot long board on huge soft wheels with some crazy suspension trucks can bomb a lot pretty easily. And that's crazy that you admit to posting on a longboarding forum.
Gonzo is sick, somebody should make a "team eyes too close together" banner for him.
