Herman, TK, Baca, Nuge, Theotis and Figgy all just seem like a financial burden to the company nowadays. Not sure if Dollin skates anymore, but don't think he should be dropped. Never heard of Hill and Allen.

Surprising how many people aren't against cutting Dollin because the common sentiment in just about every thread he's brought up in is that he's a pile and is wasting his sponsors' money

I’m pretty sure Dustin has been a key part of editing and production since Bake and Destroy when he was injured. I remember in an interview with Greco that it was mostly them editing The Deathwish Video. They’ll probably keep his name on a board just out of loyalty and paying him is probably like paying a bakerboy employee.
Figgy is such a weird example of a modern pro because it seems like he just drops massive parts every 4-5 years without much footage in between.
Cyril Jackson was someone who got so much hype as an am and then people stopped caring when he turned pro. Kids seem to love him, which makes us wonder why Baker even needs to send Theotis a check.
Still weird there was never a pro part from Dee. I really like all his Supra footage, but I’m still waiting for something that makes me believe this guy is distinct enough for someone to want his name on a board.
Got nothing but love for Nuge and Baca but did they even have tricks in the Converse video? I don’t think either will have a full part again and neither are drawing anybody in.
Everyone else is either full legend status, has a draw, is the future, or TK.
The only thing I can think of for Donta Hill is that they see something in him to have the the potential for the mix of power and style down a rail, but they’re too busy having him Train as a boxer so he can one day knock out Terry, cover it up by pinning it on his never ending domestic and gang troubles, and they can be off the hook of keeping their first? AM.

It is petty, but his friend's actions were unprovoked and since then I've done my best to make sure no shop I ever worked at had anything with his name on it.

Shit, now that I think about it. I can't remember a single kid coming in and asking for someone's pro model trucks. It was always a spur of the moment purchase. Do people go looking for a pro's trucks? I have Koston's but it had very little to do with him and everything to do with the trucks themselves.

Figgy is super good but I’m just not really into his style and persona.
I haven’t seen Cyril footy in a while but I remember thinking he didn’t seem as good as everyone else in the parts I’ve seen.
Also feel the same way about Donta as I do Cyril.

I doubt Dollin will ever get kicked of. He is og status and pretty much the last thing that represents what made Baker so great. And I'm more excited to watch him put out a gnarly trick/slam every couple years than what most pros/ams do.

Baker 4 will definitely be a reckoning. One hears rumors that some of these folks are ripping, but as skate consumers we need street tricks, not just rumors and IG park clips. That being said, the skaters who need to produce for Baker 4 to stay on the team would be:
Baca, Nuge, Cyril, Dee, TK, and Elissa. These people can not just make it on name alone and aren't putting footage towards other outlets like Riley and T-Funk. Of these, I'm thinking Baca will come through and we'll all be thrilled, and Dee and Cyril will be decent and nobody will notice, as usual.
So TK and Elissa should go, and probably Nuge, even though I really like him. I could live without all these names.
Of the ams I'd drop Allen. I'm baffled why this get kid gets so many opportunities. Kader is obviously going be to be a superstar. Donta... well, time will tell.
The Boss, Dollin, Figgy, Spanky, and Herman all get a pass as legends. Might be time for Dollin and Herman to bow out gracefully if they don't want to go for it anymore.
And that leaves Theotis and Rowan. I'm thinking Beasley still sells boards and is fine not getting paid shit since he has those Mountain Dew and Nike checks coming in. So he will stay but I could live without Theotis.

Dollin is the best on the team.
The rest on the team do not standout. Half of the team reminds me of level 1 RPG characters from RuneScape. (outside of Rowan, he's stands out)

Maybe, however, it is a bad look to be a pro celebrating being a dick to random people at the park. His buddy's actions were unprovoked and well outside normal skate park etiquette. I see no reason to help someone make money when he celebrates his friend being a dick to me (a random skatepark local).
On the flip side, my board rolled away at the park one time and Wade Desarmo went out of his way to roll it back to me. I went out of my way to make sure my shops bought as much of his shit as possible. Being polite goes a long way.

I'm half and half on Dillin. Baker nowadays pays him to get blacked out and huck his body, whether he lands or not. I can see why he shouldn't be on, but at the same time he's gnarly and is fucking himself up for the company, and produced a lot in the company's history.

I remember I said in a thread months ago I felt another round of cuts was coming soon at Baker and still do so excited to get to elaborate my thoughts.
These aren’t what I want to happen, but what I could realistically see happening. So things like “marketability” is taken into account. Despite how much we would love these things to just be about who rips and who doesn’t, that’s just not how it works.
Dustin Dollin-Stays; They will keep him to maintain somewhat of the PD era

Bryan Herman-Could go either way; Obviously still awesome in the eyes of many but don’t know how much appeal his product or presence has to the youth.
Terry Kennedy-Gone; Dont dislike him as much as most, but equally as baffled as to why he still gets paid to skate
Sammy Baca- Gone; unless he puts out some legit part in Baker 4, adios. Most of the youth couldn’t care less about his existence
Nuge-Gone; I love Nuge but he’s in the same boat as Baca
Theotis Beasley- Stays; Not as obvious as others down the list, but at the same time I can’t say much to justify cutting him
Figgy-Stays; people are nuts if they think Figgy is getting cut. Bet he has a crazy part ready for Baker 4
Riley Hawk- Stays
Cyril Jackson-Stays
Dee Ostrander-Stays-He could go either way too. I don’t think they will cut someone only a few years after turning pro without having some crazy reason, but you never know.

Donta Hill-Gone; in my opinion it doesn’t feel like he really fits in with the rest of the team, both parties will seek something else

To whoever commented about Ortiz riding Baker, he just made a post that said all his shit got burned in the fires so he just picked up a baker from the shop.
At first I felt confused about everyone cutting Nuge, and was thinking about Cataclysmic Abyss but then I realized that was over ten years ago. I think dude still can do gnarly things like that Hill Bomb, but his best days are behind him it seems. Half the team is hanging on and they could trim so much. I wonder if they make enough money for a Legacy branch of the team to move TK, Baca, Herm, and Dillin to. Also cut Theotis because he's the worst.

Maybe, however, it is a bad look to be a pro celebrating being a dick to random people at the park. His buddy's actions were unprovoked and well outside normal skate park etiquette. I see no reason to help someone make money when he celebrates his friend being a dick to me (a random skatepark local).
On the flip side, my board rolled away at the park one time and Wade Desarmo went out of his way to roll it back to me. I went out of my way to make sure my shops bought as much of his shit as possible. Being polite goes a long way.
I grew up in the same city as Wade D, and I only heard people say good things about him. I'm glad that hasn't changed.

Ideally Dollin would take a job behind the scenes at Baker boys, but something tells me he wouldn't quite know how to hold a job for long. Also I'm gonna give Zach Allen the benefit of the doubt for a year or so to hopefully see what Reynolds sees in him.
Pretty sure Dollin did a lot of the video editing for recent Baker projects. Either way, I think he deserves to keep his board there on legend status, more so than anyone outside of Reynolds and Herman.

If you're talking about that ledge to death bank spot no one has done a trick down it where they rode down the whole thing switch/fakie until this; definitely the gnarliest thing done at that spot thus far, including the handful of tricks that David Bow (Icelandiciceman) has done down it; that spot is crazy.
Sammy is a certified skate rat and he skates all the damn time; I've seen him do some crazy shit that no one would think he could ever do just fucking around; he definitely likes to stay under the radar though, but he's been filming a lot for baker 4 so I'm curious to see the final product.

I know everyone is kind of crusading against TK, but I feel like you're all forgetting about how entertaining his footage is. 1st off, he's going to skate to his own song and it's going the be outlandishly silly. 2nd there's going to be so much b roll of him doing and saying weird shit.
