haha yeah this looks like it’s in front of king fu bar, which is on a busy street in the TL and gets fucking packed. unfortunate for jam, he’s one of the nicest dudes so something crazy must’ve really happened for all this to happen.
also this was posted on march 15, the last night bars were allowed to be open. shelter in place didn’t start for us until the 16th.

World Star ain't got nothin' on SLAP these days, y'all.

All I know is I had a La Taqueria burrito once when I visited and I still think about it sometimes.

On Mission? I ate there so much when I was in SF 6 years ago or whatever. Still think about that carne asada supreme burrito all the time. Once of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. I don't even eat meat anymore but if I ever go back to SF I'm wolfing one of those bad boys down for sure.

the crispy chorizo tacos are really good from la taqueria. something about their chorizo. they wouldn't tell us where they got it from. kinda sucks the place is always packed but damn the food is good as fuck. i recommend you come back and eat another burrito or take it to go and eat the crispy chorizo tacos
my go to is always carne asada super burrito from wherever i'm at
thanks for the tip on the salsa verde. i'll try it when I can go outside, make it a date with myself.
anyone got any other taqueria favorites where they're at? like does one place do a certain kind of meat better

Never liked La Taqueria’s burritos but you ain’t lying about their chorizo tacos. So fuckin good! My go to is Guadalajara for burritos. I usually get a half chorizo, half asada super burrito. Also, it’s not in SF but Taqueria San Bruno is crackin enough that it’s worth the short trip.

never really fucked with la taqueria as a kid and i probably won’t still because it’s always packed. but i should try again.
vallarta has good burritos and their taco bar has like 10+ meat options. their salsa bar is hella good, too. that dark chipotle one is the go to.
taco trucks, el tonayense in front of best buy & el gallo giro for sure.
taqueria san bruno is a good spot! if you’re around that area, la tapatia has some of the best carnitas i’ve had.

Guadalajara is great, that and Vallarta are my go to's on 24th (good call whoever mentioned their salsa bar). If I'm south of Cesar Chavez I'll go to the Cancun across from El Rio, seems to be better than the other 2 quality wise (maybe it's just less blown out cause it's less central). Puerto Alegre's pitchers of Margaritas are sick too

I’ve come to realize a lot of the sf scene are just assholes. Prolly that stress living 7 people to a 1 bedroom.
-
I was in SF in January, tried to go to Casa Sanchez, that place just a couple blocks down 24th from Potrero with the little guy riding a corn rocket logo, it was the spot to go back in like 2010-2011 when I lived in the bay and when I got there that shit looked permanently closed?? Not boarded up but pretty derelict. Went to a little hole in the wall called San Francisco Taco across from Pop's, it was good but no Casa Sanchez. Anyone know if this is truly the case?

Vallarta is where you go if you're smart and local, La Taqueria if you're visiting or feeling fancy (I equate time spent in line to lost potential hourly wages to compound the price).
If you're in the East Bay Fiesta Taco in Pleasanton and basically any taqueria in Livermore is going to be just as good.
-
I fucks wit El Farolito(s) on the regular; that chili relleno burrito is bangin’.
For desayunas, San Jalisco on S. Van Ness is the real deal.
Cancun is pretty good down towards me. I’m at the “top of the Mish” so I’m swimming in Central American goodness over here, most days.
There are three different pupusarias within a block of my place. ;D
-
You can't pay me to go in to the city anymore, and Lorena's in San Jose shits on everything anyway.
If you're hungry and at the Fremont park, Las Vegas Taqueria out by NUMI is good.
Hayward, your only good option is Uruapan on Industrial and Huntwood.

Yeah, that place has been closed for years, which sucks because they promised a burrito a day for life for anyone who got the little corn rocketman tattoo back in the 90s.
I thought about it but just couldn’t get into their salsa. I’d definitely have gotten the palm tree tattoo if Cancun had a similar offer.

I only go to big burrito. Either the truck at lanark park or the restaurant on Canoga. Their green sauce is the best you’ll ever have.

I make a simple one at home by roasting some tomatillos in the oven with onions, garlic, jalapeño, Serrano, and oil. Blend it all up with some cilantro, water, and squeeze some lime. It’s not bad.
-
El castillito: its across the street from Safeway on Market and Church. By far the best pollo in town, same recipe for the last 20 years or more and just straight fire.

Not bad sounds like it’s whatever. Their green sauce is the best. I make my own for tamales enchiladas and taquitos. You should add some pablanos to your pan. Shallots too. Blend it up with chicken stock unless your vegetarian not water. Cup your had like someone’s giving you weed but you don’t have anything to put it in and add that much salt. Then cook the whole thing on the stove for a few minutes

Oh fuck. Chili relleno is my jam big time. Would love to try it in burrito form. Although it usually ends up that way with the side tortillas anyway.

My slavic girlfriend just mastered them, apparently super easy to make. We had them practically everyday for a week straight till she stepped on the scale, now its game off for a minute.
sidenote
Really sucks about Casa Sanchez, I don't remember their salsa being funky just remember the tacos being great and some super good tortilla chips
Went to another taqueria on 24th the first time I took acid, didnt realize food was a bad idea but I do remember there being a hilarious mural of a young boy in a sombrero with really weird facial hair effeminately holding a platter of tacos... anyone got an ID on that spot?

I’ve got a Balompie a half of a stone’s throw from my front door & yeah, those revuelta... Every time.
Also, don’t hate on me, but this COVID shit had my abdominal surgery postponed indefinitely & waiting for that shit was the only reason I wasn't skating for the last two months. So... tomorrow I’m hitting the St, Mary’s ledges, the J-Serra micro hubba on College Hill, Mish/Valencia blocks, the St. Luke’s Hospital skurbs, 24th st. BART, and a fed other “close to home” spots.
I’ll be alone & maintain a safe distance so as not to endanger myself, or others, but I’ll be damned if I’m postponing riding for another three months while this thing blows over.
Damn the torpedoes & damn the pain; I ain’t no poosey. Tomorrow I skateboard.
Or maybe put this bed frame together & patch/paint some dings in the dry wall.
But hopefully skate.
Stay safe & wish me luck.

pupusas revueltas are the ones! cheese beans and meat. my spots are panchitas & el balompie.
You must live really close to me. Balompie #3 is the spot. You ever fuck with Oxbridge market for sandwiches?
I’m a few doors of Mission, on Highland. Wanna skate when this blows over?
I don’t have shit to offer, skills wise, as I’m an ancient dirt what gots no hops thanks to a prosthetic femur, but I still get out & grind/slide those curbs & ledges.
And no, to answer your question, I have not checked out Oxbridge Market yet. ‘Pon your recommendation, though, I’m going to dip in there the very next time I’m down Silver way.
Thank you for the tip!

You can't pay me to go in to the city anymore, and Lorena's in San Jose shits on everything anyway.
If you're hungry and at the Fremont park, Las Vegas Taqueria out by NUMI is good.

When I was in San Diego we found La Fachada which was super authentic Tijuana style tacos, and Las Cuatro Milpas which was super authentic and cheap but go early I guess people line up for half an hour for this joint. Really good tamales. Me and my wife ate meat for the first time in two years just to have that authentic bomb ass Mexican food.

No, you gotta eat the foil. That’s where the flavour lives.

C'mon Dwyck, even Chipotle eating mongoloids know this.

you gotta start in the middle and peel the top half of the foil of cleanly. you can use the piece of foil as a place mat. Reuse the foil to wrap up the bottom half of your burrito when you're full. a burrito is two meals. only a fat fucking barbarian eats a whole burrito in one sitting. for the second meal if the burrito is cold you cant microwave the tortilla because its gets gross. dump the contents of the burrito on a plate before you nuke it, toss away the soggy tortilla, then use the free chips they gave you to make nachos. if your spot doesnt give you free chips, and have a killer salsa bar, find a new spot.
only order burritos to go anyway. if you got time to sit and eat theres better stuff on the menu at a taqueria. a burrito for dine in is the super gringo order. its the safety order for scared confused white people.

I fucks wit El Farolito(s) on the regular; that chili relleno burrito is bangin’.
This. Lived in SF for a few years in the early 2000’s, ate there like 5 times a week. Then I moved back to San Jose and discovered there happened to be one like a mile from my new spot.
The fried cebollitas are nuff ripping

I took a shit the size of a soft ball tonight. I had to get a knife and chop it up because it wouldn't flush. I have never felt so proud. Joey Diaz would of been proud of tracers brother
Just wait until you try to pee out a marble tomorrow. You'll want to use that knife for some cut rate Wu affiliate wrongness.

unfortunate for jam, he’s one of the nicest dudes so something crazy must’ve really happened for all this to happen.
This 100%, I didn't even know he had that mode in him, he was definitely the original victim here. Girls sounded present on the scene and concerned for him, so I'm suspecting some old ex-boyfriend drama type of bullshit.
Also fuck the dude who edited this if he effectively switched around the clips. Why?

You need to keep the entire burrito wrapped in foil and then reheat it in the oven at like 350-400. I've reheated plenty of burritos that way and they turn out great. No need to trash the tortillas. Also, I smash a burrito in one sitting almost every time. I'd have to be physically ill not to. I'm 6'4" and 172 pounds on a good day. I look like I got out of concentration camp and you can count every rib of mine. So, not a fat fuck at all. But maybe on the inside I am? You need to step up your reheating game for sure though. Burritos wrapped in the oven, chinese gets reheated on the stove in a covered pan on low so the steam courses through the dish. Microwaves are fucking beat and they turn good food into mushy nastiness.

I've known jameel since he was a little kid we grew up skating redwood city park (Phil Shao) he used to be a bit hard headed but has mellowed out over the years so something major must have gotten him mad because this isnt like him. Just my 2 cents.

Man...I understand everything goes in a fight, but swinging a dude around by his hair looks so undignified.
