Hey everyone. My name is Dave and I am 34 years old.
I just bought my first skateboard and have been practicing, I was traumatized yesterday after my first fall and it was really hard too. So I will have to wait to buy paddings, I already have a helmet from a buddy of mine.
This picture is before I used my skateboard of course, bought it from Sierra for 29.95 before taxes. I just went to Zumiez the other day to buy Bones Reds bearings because my friend suggested it.

Well I bought the board from Sierra and it came with pre-installed wheels and truck. I've also been doing a lot of research on Google and watching YouTube videos. My board is a 8.25 and I made sure the trucks were too. I am planning to give the deck to my friend since he needs it a lot, then keeping the truck with the bearings and wheels and buying a new board. I saw one from DGK that I like a lot so I might buy that after I get my pads.

That’s a good idea.
Make sure to slap a Thrasher sticker on your helmet to let people know you’re down.
Instant street cred right there.
Also, some friendly advice, if you don’t get some nose, tail, and board slide marks on the deck, people will know you’re a noob, and you don’t want that. So make sure to rub the deck several times on a concrete ledge to really get some fresh looking marks.

A while back when I was more active on reddit I was popping in there to see if I could give any advice or knowledge to newer skaters. Horrible decision. People are hyper sensitive to anything that isn’t overtly positive feedback. Misinformation runs rampant. It’s like lord of the flies. Do not recommend.

ok, i thought you were trolling at first but now i believe you might actually be serious
if this is the case i will give you a tip: ride a bigger board. especially one with bigger, softer wheels.
when you're just getting started it's useful to get a setup where you can take one push and glide for a while. this enables you to actually learn rolling and turning, instead of limping and hopping around with one foot hanging off the back of the board all the time

As someone who started at 35 here’s my advice: Forget about tricks. Cruise around until it becomes second nature. Learn to throw down, how to push without putting your weight on the ground (balance on front foot), and how to properly stop.
Too many folks rush straight into tricks. You should fall in love with riding first IMHO.
And don’t get discouraged. When you see an amazing skater, it’s because they’ve spent years on their boards. Like the average 30 year old skater has been skating for 20 years. It’s not something that a lot of folks start later in life.

The YouTube channel is not a fake and the uploads are aligning with when he began posting here.
I 100% believed this account was a troll to begin with but after visiting those links I wasn’t so sure.

IF Dave's post was as simple as saying he preferred trump to biden, there are no grounds for accusing him of racism and/or banning him. By no means did Dave ever imply he was a trump supporter. Additionally, this is not a community where a new outsider should immediately be banned for life, especially as you haven't created a firm ruleset nor given that user the benefit of the doubt. I think it's pretty fucking petty to ban someone over that comment unless there is something else that is unknown.

Watching SLAP rip itself apart like a basket star over LeDave has been pretty entertaining from an observer’s perspective.
Would not have guessed a rookie skater & newbie bloard user would be the spark that set so many passions ablaze.
Vegas bookmakers didn’t see this coming either. If I had I time machine I could be very wealthy right now as the result of just a few well placed bets last week.
