I was reading through the comments section of this And these clowns are complaining like always. What makes this especially lame is that they're talking shit about the west coast being perfect, but the shop is from oregon. Oregon isn't perfect. It literally rains like half of the year there, so even if oregon had the best spots ever in history, they don't even get a chance to skate them. East coast is just full of faggot complainers.

I like how people say "We have the crappiest conditions so that makes us better." Reality check... you have the crappiest conditions and IT SHOWS. FOR instance, snowboarding... you're on ice all day any all the riders have super whack unbalanced style. Maybe you are throwing a cork 10... but you look like you re going to die in doing so. Skateboarding... you have crappy ground to land on so its rare that people develop a clean, consistent, and structured style... they cant try as much stuff knowing that if they bail, they are falling on years of New York Filth. And surf, harsh and small waves... sorry, move to Hawaii or Aussie if you wanna step your game up. Your "Bad" conditions dont make you better. people on the west and east coast think they are the best and that the other coast sucks. The funny thing is, they don't realize there is much more than just the coasts, and anybody claiming their coast is cooler is a fucking loser.
Think about it this way: SF and Portland are rad, LA and San Diego are the shittiest cities in North America
New York and Philly are rad, but Boston and Jersey suck.
Chicago is cooler than most places on both coasts, and sits right in the middle of the country
Thinking about this shit as if everything is the same and better on any coast is something only a moron would do.

yeah but people from west coast are better because they get the sun all year, but some people like chris cole are so dedicated they can shine thorugh anything to get to the dream. there is this guy from iceland and when he was growing up, you know how like when it snows, your car has like a spot where when it moves, there is no snow, cause the carwas there? that was like what he skated in. and eventually he moved to vancouver, i think he rides for some shop now or something, but its livin it fully.

That video still proves my point. People from new york aren't good at skating because they skate lame shit. If p rod stayed in new york for 3 months everything would be destroyed, because he could get used to the spots, and he already has a foundation of good tricks. That's what you guys don't understand. 1 because you don't skateboard, and 2 because you're idiots.

And not every spot in new york is rugged. you guys just choose to skate those ones to make up for your suckage. And that still doesn't make up for the fact that they were complaining about people from oregon. I rains damn near every day in oregon. and all the spots they were skating were shitty. Those kids were still actually good at skateboarding.

I live in New York, and am mediocre at skating, not because the spots here suck, but because I do. I'm from the northwest originally though, have only lived here a few years, so I'm not sure I qualify as 'being from the east coast'. There are some sick skaters here, and some sick spots. Some are shitty, and rugged. I find myself skating them because often there are too many people/other skaters in the way at some of the nicer spots. COTG, I think maybe the party scene/thousands of hot girls walking around have more to do with any perceived suckage/laziness of skaters out here than the spots do.

it has more to do with everyone co-opting bobby puleos style and putting it on a pedestal than east coast skaters sucking. theres a lot of people that are really talented and can do really good tricks at any random ledge spot but they choose not to.

You mentioned the Nike commercial you did with Nas earlier where you skated all New York spots. Was New York easier or harder to skate than you expected?
