Jeepers since no one's mentioned it Austyn's half cab flip at LA High. I kid I kid...that shit's gnarly no matter what you call it.

That Milton Martinez lip slide is so nuts though. And it was just in a random part in the Creature Tour Video. Talk about burying the lede.

Is there a better angle on Foy's tre flip tail drop?

He rides up fakie..does a trick fakie..comes back in fakie..where does a halfcab come into play at all..
[close]

What would you call it if you rode up fakie, ollied turning forward at the top of transition only to come back in fakie? If it was a fakie flip you'd ride up fakie, kickflip on the transition and ride down regular. On Austyn's trick, the turn is hidden in the catch and is part of what makes it so damn good looking.

I really don't know why this is so hard for people to understand. The argument about this trick makes my head hurt. Go to your local bank spot and just think about it a little.

I love Oski, and I love the alley-oop backside noseblunt slide, but I can't help but feeling that Lutzka blew this trick out about 10 fucking years ago. Dude was doing it on legit handrails in the mid '00s or thereabouts. I'm not the world's biggest fan of the guy, but I respect game when I see it. Dude set the bar a bit too high for me to get overly excited about Oski's or Glick's version of it. The collective Lutzkamnesia reminds me a bit like when everyone acted like Frank was the first one to kickflip Wallenberg, just because Danny Gonzalez said some kooky shit in an interview. Everyone, except Frank, that is!
[close]

Didn't he kickflip bs grab it? I know that's sick but.. it's not a kickflip. Same as how The Lyon 25 has still never been ollied.

As for Glick's wallie 270 noseblunt being a rip off of Oski's trick... you gotta be trolling dude

Fuck off. Everything exists on a continuum. Open your fucking mind.

Also, props to Nick Garcia.

When you do a frontside ollie on tranny or a bank it's not a front 180. Same logic applies.

I saw your mom do a ollie to cooch drop straight down the big black pole, it was gnarly. she defiantly shut that shit down

Thats because frontside air is the conventional name, and the 'frontside' is there to differentiate it from an ollie to fakie since nobody ever really says 'front 180' in reference to transition. unless you think this is a fakie ollie, gillette did a half cab flip.

It's actually crazy that people are even questioning that Austyn trick. It's a halfcab flip and that's that.

If you believe it is something else you need sectioning.

Imo this should win, i know glick did wallie 270 to noseblunt, but this spot looks so much harder.

Spinning almost a full circle into a BACKSIDE noseblunt vs using a launch ramp like obstacle to do a frontside noseblunt..

You can use caps lock all you want to describe DIRECTION, but you can’t call a wall a launch ramp

fuck it, i'm willing to die on the fakie flip hill.

hes going across the bank, not straight up. he fakie flips diagonally across the bank.

if he had gone straight at the bank, popped fakie, came back in fakie, thats a half cab flip.

but he doesnt.

it's a fakie flip.

eli reed switch frontside carved the bench at china banks in purple. if he had fakie flipped mid carve, it would be an fakie kickflip, and that would have been the end of it. no one in their right mind would call that a half cab flip.

i'm not totally unreasonable though. i'll meet in the middle, and call it like a front side fakie flip. (NOT a fakie frontslide flip. don't be absurd).

I mean... if he turned less than or about 90 degrees during the flip, I could see where you're coming from, but if you look at the angle before he pops and right after he lands on the bank, you can see he's clearly way more than 90 and not far off a full 180 rotation. Plus, fakie flips don't fold like that, half cab flips do.

Don’t you mean halfcab flip?  He rode to it fakie, kickflipped and came out fakie... just like Austyn’s trick.  Is everyone taking person pills???
