I swear this is not market research for The Berrics. I've been on a hunt for autographed decks and discovered that The Berrics had an assortment of them, most of which are sold out. The Kenny Anderson one is tempting.

I hate that shit (autographs or memoribilia)cause its suppose to be important so you hold on to it and drag it to new apts and for what?  Waste of mental space.

I'm not too into autographs to begin with, but isn't the point of them to commemorate the actual interaction you have with them?

i voted "Hell no. Autographed decks have no significance to me." however i say that to say this:

i walked into a local shop about 10 years ago and came across a sk8 mafia deck.  i screeched like a child and asked the guy behind the counter "is this peter smolik and brandon turner autograph?!".  he said "yes.  ive been waiting for a special skater to come in and purchase that".  sold.  it was the price of a normal deck.  I skated it and now its hanging on my wall.

If you need someone to scribble all over your shit with a magic marker, I’ll do it for $5.

I do enjoy seeing how they price the decks and which of them sell out.

Poor Crob still has some decks ($59.99) sitting in there since BATB 11 took place. The cheapest deck ($54.99) they have is signed by Jordan Maxham. They just added some Visit decks ($64.99) signed by Ryan Gallant. I'm curious to see how long those linger.

Def agree that the special part of having an autograph would partially be the interaction that led to it in the first place.

That being said, was shopping at a used media outlet and saw a copy of Shorty’s How to Go Pro in the $1 bin. Opened it up and saw what looked like a Brandon Turner autograph on the disc. Even confirmed it and had a nice chat with him on Insta after. But yeah, anything more than a few bucks would def be a no for me, dawg.

I got the joslin one because it was his first pro model and i was stoked he turned pro. Plus the deck was the same price as a normal deck so its not like i paid extra for it.

I agree its pretty pointless but sometimes money just burns a hole in my pocket.

Not much of a discount.  Scrubbing that thing off is going to take someone a little bit of time.

Exactly. I want a few good things, not a bunch of Bric-à-brac.

And if I am going to be sentimental about something, it's going to be as a result of happenstance, not some marketer's brilliant idea.

Having already agreed these board are kinda pointless, i still kinda support it. It is a way to support your favorite rider. I have a feeling the riders get a bigger cut from these than boards you buy somewhere else. I figured stuff like that would get slap stoked.

Hell no. I met Berra in Calgary n to say the least, I don't like him n would never do anything to put food on his table. I could share a rant but I'll just say I think he's mean.

the idea, at least for me, that the autograph will be more of a memory from the time you met certain pro. Having only the signature doesn't makes that much sense.

i would only really want a signed board if it was signed for me on the spot
Let me preface this post with the fact that I am slightly inebriated, very uneducated and I havent read any papers or done any research at all, or read your post really.
