The brophy hateboner is real.
He's just more irrelevant than anything...

In my opinion Crails biggest problems are:
-Older guys who were sick back in the day, put out 1 part then sat around sucking up money
-Passing up amazing talent like Carlos Ribeiro for more "hesh style" based guys
-Maybe pursuing too much of a "love of skating" type vibe, kids today are getting Louis Vuitton and Prada ads, and honestly its pretty sick that skating isn't limited to the small world of skating.

Seems like most older guys are dead set against taking the money, but then end up in situations where they struggle financially. I understand that those big companies didn't give a fuck about them back in the day, but ultimately this only makes skating bigger and more available for the pros of the next 5-10 years to make way more money. Skateboarders seem to think you can't do something for the love and get paid at the same time, more so that if you get paid that's the only reason you're doing it...

The brophy hateboner is real.

I'm surprised the crail store doesn't have some crail condoms for all these hateboners. They basically have every other thing that is possible for China to manufacture.

The whole Ty era is when they lost the plot.
The whole family thing cost them in the end because they didn’t stay relevant and fresh.
They’re just a bunch of jocks now.
It was pretty much down hill after Mouse.

If anyone thinks any of the first generation Girl guys has actually skated in the year 2020 (or since 2015) you’re  fuckin’ naive as hell. They are 10 years ahead of the 1st gen Baker guys in  milking a legacy (a video only legacy) .  They have moved on from skateboarding but the only one that had the dignity to be honest about it was... Tim Gavin.  They rest are gonna milk that paycheck for as long as fucktard fanboys will let them. They will never so much as skin a knee for skateboarding again.   The only good Girl video was the last Plan B gideonthey were all in before they bailed. The reest was overproduced Soike Jon’s horseshit.

It started waaay back when they put Jereme and Prod on.  The suck slowly crept in ever since.   Just my humble opinion.

nah that was a sound decision at the time.

it's been downhill since FF. not thru any fault of management, just changing tastes.

i mean what even is this, girl trying to be anti hero now

Um.. I do not know what your talking about I think they are finally getting a foothold on the industry again. For awhile things were changing and they got stagnate but lately a lot of the graphics are cool, And the wood is 10x better then it was 2 years ago. They recently released an updated version of the Pop-Secret series with the 5ply carbon fiber board which I think holds up well. They are different then how they use to be for sure but they are not doing bad. Just not doing what they were.

Crail is not what it was because the brand was defined by its riders. The nostalgia that exists for it is wasted because the "essence" of the brand will never come back. Koston, Chico, Gino, Jeron, Guy, Scott Johnston, Mike York, Keenan, Richard Mulder etc were all people who felt like part of a group together and who had years of history.

Without any of them producing footage for Crail anymore it can't recapture that essence regardless of how many reissues they do. The same goes with Flip, Workshop/Habitat, eS, and most of the other brands from 20 years ago that are held in such high regard. A collection of random riders cant capture that cohesiveness.

Idk

I just hope the current riders actually skate the boards they sell. It is pretty sad if a skate company sells decks to the public but the riders ride better boards.

hmmm I remember 5 ply boards man. Old about that shit.

The only gimmick I remember being good was flip new wave.

I don't think that's unfair at all.

If I was on chocolate lets say.

I'd likely only use the graphics on my own custom shapes.

Why take chances with sales thinking some one out there wants my exact specs

Long ago I kinda knew this kid I can't Johnny what's his name.
Never rode the shit he got sent unless they was filming him.

Baby boards sucked

AND FUCK THEM FOR NOT PAYING TRAVIS STENGER.

Insult to injury, Crob not even knowing who he was on the Wade 9 club interview.
I had a pair of lakai's last year. Skated great for the first few sessions.  But 4 mellow-ish sessions in I had an ollie rip already.  Fuck that, I'm skating pumas instead. Atleast I can get a month outta those and for cheaper. I was honestly a little butt hurt; I loved old crail.  Manchester was one of my go-to's

On another note. Pretty Sweet was Pretty Wack.  I have nothing else new to say that hasn't bin said already.  I took a fucking ferry and spent almost all my min wage paycheck getting to that premiere.

After the movie I ended up spending the rest of the night with a cheap sixpack in a rainy bus stop till the early morn, and that was the highlight of my night.    Oh, but I do remember a few amazing tid-bits.  Just wrapped in shit.   But after fully flared what did I really expect?

If you base your company on being the uber-exclusive cool kids club, don't be surprised that it loses it's appeal when most of those cool kids start approaching 50.
Andy Anderson, I cannot sanction your buffoonery.
