Is this the first trick or the first grind on the Hollywood 16 handrail by a woman? If it is the first trick it is kind of gnarly that it was a 50-50 and not a board-slide.

I mean the only trick I've done on a real non-park handrail is a board-slide. To jump right into the 50-50 on a handrail would be scary as fuck.

Quote from: ChuckRamone
I love when people bring up world hunger. It makes everything meaningless.
"That guy is double parked."
"Who cares? There are people starving to death! Besides, how does that affect you? Does it lessen the joy of parking?

if we're all equal why do it matter who b doin the tricks fam thats equality

if we're giving certain types of skaters special recognition based on anything besides them being a skater thats equity dawg

Is being this simple more conducive to a stressful or stress-free life? In one sense, I imagine most things just go over your head, leaving you unbothered--but on the other hand, I'm unconvinced you're capable of tying your shoes by yourself.

They say people in hunter-gatherer societies are way less stressed out and have more free time than us.  Crazy right?

You’d think it would take forever to hit a squirrel with a rock but turns out they’re really good at it.
When nothing in society deserves respect, we should fashion for ourselves in solitude new silent loyalties.

Anyone wanna translate this chicks last name for me?

it sounds almost like a combination of Wet Suit and Wet Slut, with a Z at the beginning

Zwet Sloot

its really not that hard

she has the best fits for girls right now imo. i dont like the high water pants or punk rock looks, those really really aggressive fashion type stuff is too much for me. she wears those crew shirts really well especially white or orange with the khakis.

really bummed to see her on cariuma but i expect more riders to jump ship from flow. if you notice if you arnet living in Cali then it is pretty hard to be on Nike / Adidas / New Balance as a pro.  none of those companies have ever put on a canadian as an amateur even i dont think.

one last thing i would wager she may have done this before she was on cariuma but they got the angle specifically this way knowing she was looking for another shoe contract she probably did this a month ago or so i would think at least. how long does it typically take for a photo to get into a magazine isnt it ususally a couple months even?

Kevin Lowry has been on adidas forever. Spencer Hamilton just recently got on NB. But other than those two, you’ve got a point. Vans holds it down in Canada though.

Spencer is not PRO for NB# and not even really convinced he is more than flow. He is not on their website.
Honestly never heard of Kevin Lowry but i just looked him up. He was a sales rep before he was ever a sponsored skater for adidas... now he is the canadian team manager. but I mean hes not a pro nor will he ever be? was he ever featured on their website even? i dont think those are amazing examples of canadians really getting on those companies in any significant form lol that guy basically got on as a job it seems they likd him for more than just skateboarding which is totally fair, but not the same thing

Kevin Lowry was pro for adidas and habitat, and is still on the adidas website. Look at the list of names under the skaters with a photo. It’s surprising you’ve never heard of him, being a Canadian skater. He’s got tricks in a lot of the videos adidas did in the 2010s. He’s sick. Definitely not the most tech dude, but has sick style, pop and trick selection.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Spenny was announced with NB in the next few months. Sometimes the official on the team announcements take a bit

From his bunt interview:

Yeah, I just recently signed on with New Balance”

Sounds like more than flow. I should say too that I more or less agreed with your original statement that those three big brands don’t really hook up Canadians, but they have in the past.
