Recently setup a 8.25 from the original run from BBS and it's been great. Full kicks of a FA with medium steepness and concave all around.

They've moved to PS Stix which I don't like personally.

Been trying to find similar shapes decks - FA without the crazy steel nose.

8.25 x 31.75 x 14.25
Venture Truck Height:

5.0 & 5.2 LO
STANDARD - 1.88” - 47.75mm
FORGED - 1.85”- 46.99mm

5.0 ,5.2, 5.6, 5.8 & 6.1 HI
STANDARD - 2.09” - 53.09mm
FORGED - 2.04” - 51.82m

These specs are pretty much my preferred too.
From the decks I tried,  Magenta 8.25s come really close, but the kicks aren't as full as a FA. But I don't know if the newest Magenta decks also have these specs, since my decks are a bit older now.

Let us know if you find some similar decks from BBS.

Yeah cleaver's tight, diego bucchieri's company. I haven't ridden any in a while because I think they've stopped doing 8s but my last one was very good though I think it was a batch from HLC I wanna say?

I had thought they were HLC as well, from what some people were saying and how a board felt, but Diego himself posted in the woodshop thread that he had never used HLC and is now using PS Stix, so I think those other boards were Clutch, but still not 100% sure.

Cleaver boards will be made at PSStix from now on. I have never made boards with HLC.

* I always think it is pretty cool for a brand owner to get online and set us straight on what wood their company uses, especially given some woodshops and brands are so very secretive about their products and who uses what.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Was just on their site, almost every board has an 8 option. Can't tell which woodshop they're using but it doesn't look to be BBS or PS Stix. Site says "made in mexico" so it must be clutch.
Alex Olson never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

Gotcha, that sticker inbetween the top bolts on their site was foreign to me. Just assumed it was still clutch and they put their own sticker on top, ala pizza and thank you, did that while using clutch wood in the past.

I had one like ten years ago, I think it was one of their first run of boards when it was just back in Argentina. They were sick and I've always been a fan of Diego, Milton's brother Eze, and Juan Oppen.
Here's their latest video FYI.

as a bonus Eze's pro part

didnt know what to expect going into the dvxc part
pleasantly surprised, cleaver has a real talented team
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo
