Anybody tried a Shorty’s deck since they came back?
« on: April 03, 2024, 08:02:31 PM »
Just curious on how the quality is for Shorty’s decks now that they’re back in business. Anything like they were back in the day?

Was looking for a new setup with something a little on the cheaper end and saw that they were around 60 USD

It has been a while and I haven't seen any in person for a long time, but the woodshop list has them as being from Clutch now, or at least from 2021, before that being from Prime, so make of that what you will.

The list of other boards also on there to see if you have skated any or are familiar with them.

No other info about them since then.

Maybe they came back with a different supplier, because this also came up:

Does Shorty's still exist?
14) THE END OF SHORTY'S:

In April 2011 Shorty's announces they will no longer be making skateboard decks, however they still planned to move forward with apparel and accessories; many people saw this as the death of the brand.29 Sept 2022

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Disappointing. They had the sickest videos back in the 2000’s. Boards were great too.

Does anyone know who owns it now? I’ve been buying silverados and they’re just as good as they were back in the day but I’m curious who’s behind the brand now

dm him like a man
my friend had one and i had a clutch shop board and they were basically identical
not sure if it wasnt stored properly but the nose chipped after like 1 session just from kicking out on a boardslide on a flat bar. i havent chipped a board in a long time... then it went super soggy.
