After years of waffling over whether I’d be able to pull them off, just pulled the trigger on some dunk highs

They’re really flashy and loud but as far as protection and quality goes…A+ imo

currently deciding between a pair of 480's or getting a pair of Cats to skate. Tried both on in the shop and it was really hard to decide between the two, they were both feeling pretty lush.

My last exp with NB# was the 1010 on release and it was way too narrow for my foot and the leather never stretched out enough to feel comfortable.

Any advice pals?

If both shoes felt good, I personally would choose the cheaper one. Can't tell you anything about either of these shoes.

That is the correct answer..however, the cats are new/no one knows (or remembers?) how well they're going to hold up? Cats could very well be cheaper but may not hold up as long as the [potentially] more expansive but longer lasting 480s?

Funny you say that... Being in Australia, the Cats are actually more expensive - only by $10. I saw in the Ipath Containment thread somebody posted results of their effort so far and it doesn't seem all too bad. The nostalgia factor is heavy.

I have to say what made it even harder is for two suede shoe options, both felt really nice in hand. I haven't had a pair of suede NB # before (I do love the suede on my older 990v3's) and I was surprised to see how nice they felt comparatively.

My old man knees are the big problem for me right now, which is why I'm hesitant to pull the trigger.

I can (reasonably) assume that the 480's will be better on my knees, but I'm sure throwing on a set of F4 93D's on my setup would be just as good an alternative to reducing impact.
93 are such a game changer if you're aching man
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

Definitely time to give 'em a go, I reckon. Thanks Moon!

I have been on a pair of leather AS-1 for a month now and have been enjoying them
