Manuals aren’t that hard for me, but those nose manuals where the skater crouches so much that their back knee almost touches the ground is unimaginable to me. How is that even possible?

I suck at manuals. Never had em good. Only times ever felt like a fluke. But I also don't like watching manual skaters (for the most part) so whatevs.

How many skaters today are first generation? I am 39 and feel like nearly everyone I know is first generation. My dad is still a distance runner and my mom bicycles. I can imagine maybe the second generation is approaching maybe a third of skaters by this point? With some small number of third generation currently.

Only in the last year have I been able to do them but I'm not particularly talented just practice and some trial and error. Although I am comically similar to the Brezinski measurements on the last page so maybe there is something to it ???

I started skating cuz my older brother skated, I grew up with Questionable and Sorry and The End already in our VHS collection, in approximately high school he got into cars and stopped though
