I was reading an old issue of Transworld (the one with the Gonz no-comply over the barrier cover) where he reviews his own fucking cd.  I don't know why I added this tidbit...I just thought it was Mike V at his most narcissistic.  He hasn't been relevant for a long time, just don't let him know that.

fuck dude, that's the tws issue about a time to shine and their awards and whatever? i was just looking at that issue like last week, thinking how much of a fucking douche he is. completely unrelated but cole's bs flip nosegrind on that hubba in the red hoodie from his rts part is sequenced in that issue.

back on topic: i don't care if he's liked hockey since infancy, this combo line is a stupid idea and his justification is even worse. hell, baseball is a much better sport to compare to skateboarding: easy to get injured when you first start out, but you don't get hurt as much as you get better, although pros still do on a regular basis. also, both sports take people from Brazilian countries to america to be on their team.

what are you talking about?

pro baseball is for fat middle aged men who can't run or do any sustained exercise for more than about 45 seconds at a time.  that's why a game takes 9 fucking hours. 

skateboarding is for svelte little queers with skinny jeans who can hurl themselves off giant shit 20-60 times before landing it then going to the next spot and doing it again.  they don't stay pro (usually) when they become fat and middle aged, they transition to managerial/industry/skate shop/pool cleaner jobs.

so uh, i forget where i'm going except to say fuck mive v, fuck baseball and all that other shit too.

dude, i'm well aware that no sport is even close to skateboarding, that's why it's not in the olympics, and that's why it should stay that way. i'm just saying that baseball and skateboarding are more alike than hockey. and not all pro baseball players are fat, i've yet to see an overweight out fielder. and games take nine innings, not hours (although i'm sure that's a possibility). if you think skating is all about throwing yourself down shit than you know nothing about skateboarding.

I'd love to hear the stories.  I can't see how you'd get yourself in that position, unless you challenged them to a fight.  Would 4 jocks really try to fight one scrawny skater?

yes. I've definitely had a few run-ins with jocks ganging up. usually it starts with them talking some shit, getting meaner nd meaner until you say, "fuck you dawg!" or some equivalent phrase. that turn into, "what? I'll beat your ass skate punk!!". and you know where it goes from there. I've won a few with more than three dudes, but only one without using my board as an axe. you'd be surprised how quick they shit pants when the biggest dude gets knocked out and he's bleeding from the ears (I always go for the biggest dude first, my uncle taught me that). that was a long time ago though and now that skating's more well known and we've got the, " crazy-dudes-who-don't-care-about-pain" stigma (thanks jackass) I think most of those dudes would think twice now. maybe...

Well I've never had bros do more than yell from a speeding car, so I can't really relate.  I'd just try my best to avoid a fight, even if it meant splitting for a couple minutes.  No sense in getting hurt fighting instead of skating, and you could easily kill/seriously injure a dude with a good board swing.  I wouldn't even feel like skating the spot after fighting there.
