i've skated a lot of good shoes so i can't pick a best shoe but i can pick the worst shoe i've skated.
i got these fred gall ipaths and they totally suck ass.  i skated them for a couple of hours and the side of my foot as well as the back of my heel were rubbed raw and bleeding.   normally i wouldn't skate ipaths but they were cheap and i was helping someone out.  maybe i can wear them as chillin shoes since they're just black and white but i damn sure ain't skating in them, screw that.

i've had some bad shoes but these were by far the worst skateshoes i've purchased in 22 somewhat years.

Worst ever - Easily the Lakai Marc Johnson 2. That shit fell apart worse than anything I've ever had. Some styrofoam type shit in the sole was falling out after a week, and my switch toe wore through like I normally do a regular. And my regular toe looked like I was skating slip-ons or something.

Best ever - Probably the Lakai Marc Johnson 3, actually. Way, way big step up from his second shoe, even though it's pretty much a Campus rip-off. For that matter, I skated some non-skateboarding  suede Campuses and really loved those too.

I found the MJ III's were incredibly stiff and bulky.  They never felt right.

The best shoe I've skated was the Koston Select, which I guess is just a Rowley Classic ripoff.

Emerica AR Slim - I never get heel bruises in these, they don't blow out in the sole like the Reynolds 3's and they fit better than any other shoe
Vans Half Cab - What can I say, it looks good, feels great, and super skateable
Nike SB Verona Slip On - the most skateable slip-on. period.
Lakai Manchester (OG version with the stitched sole) - lasted me long than any other shoe I ever owned
Emerica Kirchart SDK - amazing sole, board feel, and the perfect amount of padding
