broken canon gl-1 camera

my camera is not working. it goes through the proper motions like it is recording but then when i go to watch the footage it isnt there. i cant see any playback footage either, it seems like the tape is not connecting to the camera properly. i tried the tapes on friend's cameras and the footage played back fine... does anyone know how i can fix this???

try getting a head cleaner frome someone or buy one.

that's usually the problem with troubleshooting basic playback issues.
