New set of wireless earbuds for skating. Any recs under/about 100 CAD? The last set I had were some cheap Klipsch’s that had connectivity issues and would always fall out my ears

Sony earbuds usually have the best balance of features, sound quality and price. They might not be the best at any of those other than noise cancelling for the sets that have that feature but they are usually better all around than similarly priced options. The WF-C710N are right at $100 and I’ve heard a lot of good about those. Looks like they also have a similar but cheaper model, WF-C510. I have one of their flagship models from 6 years ago and still going strong to this day.

Wow, is Tracker a thing again? I looked at their site and it says the Axis are new but no idea how long it said that and besides general descriptions and width, there is no actual specs. What's the height and WB effect and how do they feel compared to the usual bunch of Trucks?

DBX board. I'm tired of boards feeling like mush after 3 sessions. Might be the texas heat but shit is so uninspiring popping off a dead kick.

I guess I could save money by getting a flight deck or vx but I hate everything they are doing marketing wise. And I don't have the energy or time to sand off and re lacquer the graphics, which would be a must.

I soak a towel in acetone and lay it on the deck, then after a while a wide plastic scraper takes everything off surprisingly easy. Spray a thin layer of clear coat on there

But I get it

I hate having to like, DO something else/extra to make something work

Tempted about Lakai Cambridges but trying not to.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

thinking of sizing down to 8.25 and getting a thunders, but is 14.25 WB going to be a a hindrance? i just want to ollie right, once again. tried a friend's setup but his was 14" WB, it felt great to ollie, but the market now sooo saturated with 14.25" WB decks. just wanna see other's thought.

I've got Ventures on a 8.25/14.25 wb which pushes it out even slightly farther than Thunder. It's an adjustment after riding Indy on 8.25/14" for years, for sure. No complaints though. I like the increased stability. Takes a bit more to flip/rotate but that's not a con for me. May want to also factor overall deck length and length/angle of kicks since you're talking ollie/popping.

The two main things are (1) 8.25 with 14.25 is a very common size and I know any number of people with Thunder trucks on that board size / wb so you wouldn't be the only one there, by a mile, and (2) any board shape and different trucks might feel a bit weird at first, but once you get used to it, you will most likely think nothing of it.

There are other boards, including 8.25s with 14, 14.1, 14.2, 14.25, 14.3, 14.38 wheelbases all with people riding Thunders on them, as well as other trucks too, so although it might feel easier doing things on an 8.25 with 14.0 wb, most people can adjust in time to the other options.

I have a few set up and mostly 148 hangers on both cast and forged baseplates, usually with smaller wheels, but it is surprising some of the combinations that do work, that I might not have thought would be so good, but I have been experimenting a lot more since the Thunder inverted kingpin option came out too, even if I would have often had other trucks on these boards.

More mellow kicks on longer wheelbases seem to be the thing for me, or steeper kicks on short wheelbases also work well, when I have lower trucks too, but all I needed to adjust was how much lower I got to ollie on Thunders, which then made it quite easy to get a decent and comfortable pop.

What trucks are you on or what is your current setup at the moment?

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

I had this thought the other day since I'm liking my thunders but also see so many 8.25s with 14.25. Makes me wonder if getting used to the longer wb would make the shopping process simpler. Just pick whatever 8.25 off the wall and it'll likely have a 14.25 wb. I'm on my second DLX true fit 8.25 with the 13.88" wb...

Tried another old guys setup and they are super nice. I like ace/ Indy feel and not really venture or thunder so much and the trackers turned awesome.they just felt perfect for mini ramp, then they were great for ripping around carving and sliding around too and ruined everything I previously had believed about trackers. The turn was deep, the turn super stable all the way through. Felt really tough. No ace squirrely bottom turn, but deep and stable

Thinking of sizing down to an 8.75. I was skating a 9.2 now I’m on a 8.8.
Feels more responsive better rotation but I don’t want to loose the relative safety of a wide deck. I think 8.75 might be as small as I go.

Tracker axis are good trucks they feel like independent basically I threw them on my cruiser for the time being I think they may have a pretty long break in period maybe that’s part of why they aren’t popular whatsoever? I’d try a set of darts but they were out of stock on the site
