i dont know bay personally, nor did i watch any of the transformers movies after the first instalment, but seriously fans need to chill. if this ruins your childhood then your childhood must have been fragile in the first place--dont blame bay, blame bad parenting.

like comic book heroes come from all different types of universes and shit; the batman with clooney and arnold was shit but it definitely didnt ruin the batman as a character, much like how this movie might be garbage but it wont ruin the teenage mutant ninja turtles that we love.

did you people see the dragon ball z live action movie? that shit was the worst, but it never dampered my love and affection for goku and the rest of the z fighters.

cats is nice but I aint seen god since hova spit that navy blue to me

I feel like micheal bay has to change things for the sake of his own ego and not for the good of the film, so micheal bays transformers or air bender :D is different than the source material... I also think he believes pissing of the fans help boost the film in the end. Turtle lore was already changed in the newest cartoon (both the 2003 version and the nick version this summer) but the fact that bays changes tend too suck is the problem...

those batman movies were terrible but this is like if the director just decided that batman wasn't an orphan any more. it makes no fucking sense. you can't even really call it a tmnt movie if there are no mutant turtles in it. it seems like michael bay just wants to make another one of his steaming piles of shit but wants to hold the audience hostage by slapping a popular franchise on it.

the reason fans are freaking out is 1. they're nerds and that's what nerds do. and 2. if the movie is successful (which it most likely will be) that means probably 2 more absolute shit fests before someone can make a legit tmnt movie. if it isn't successful that means hollywood blowhards will write off tmnt as a franchise. either way everyone loses except michael bay.

Bay's just the producer/spokesman. He's not directing or writing the script. And technically, the turtles are bi-products of an alien race, which any dedicated fan would know, and not just your run-of-the-mill fan who fondly remembers the TV show and first two movies (like myself). A little research--and less bitching--would show that the writers are most likely trying to give fans more of a completed backstory to the aliens who created the ooze. At least that's my hope.

T.C.R.I, Techno Cosmic Research Institute, is a scientific corporation/organization with a large, mysterious and imposing facility in Brooklyn, New York. Though little is known of the ongoings inside the building, their organization's acronym was printed upon the canister of mutagen which transformed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Splinter. The facility is, in actuality, the secret terrestrial base of a race of aliens called Utroms who had crashed on the planet Earth sometime in the 1960s.

The Utroms were stranded on Earth and interacted with humans through the company, T.C.R.I.. They are responsible for creating and losing the canister of mutagen that transformed Splinter and the Turtles. When they were stranded, the Utroms contacted their homeworld. They were ordered to stay and observe humanity. Eventually, they were forced to leave Earth by teleporting to another world. They later returned and opened official relations with humans and other alien races.

if the turtles are utroms that fucks things up even more and means they're going to look like little brain creatures. krang is an utrom and he uses the ooze to make bebop and rocksteady. making the turtles the same race as krang makes zero fucking sense and completely demolishes the back story. how are they going to handle splinter? is he an alien too? also- you know that a producer ultimately has more creative control than anyone else on a film right? bay is totally to blame for this coke frenzied half baked bullshit.

How the hell hasn't anyone posted that one pic of this series?

Slap ruined my affection for TMNT years before Bay.
