koston is boring for decades     all the vert dudes (90s) is who was  boring until they started building those too big matt hoffman ramps !  I saw a vert contest or two and those dudes were terminally unwatchable except for RUNE!  No, he did not need a mega ramp and it was JAW DROPPING, i cannot emphasize the cassum that seperated him from everyone else (bob lasek mckay  whoever) just night and day.  (funny enough bob half fliped a switch flip,landed on vert wall grip down, reached down and flipped it the rest of the way with his hand, and rolled away some how, the crowd went apeshit and the judges  gave bob and his 2 ft airs a higher score than rune !!  )

I've noticed that about vert skating too yet never heard it brought up, someone can flip the board liek 1/3 of the rotation then catch it with their hand and spin it the rest of the way and as long as they land on it successfully it still constitutes as a make all the same

Maybe it's  similar to someone doing a trick down a set and toe dragging or using their hands? Idk shit is definitely sketchy though
