Anyone skating OSIRIS recently?
« on: November 24, 2015, 10:06:31 AM »
Since I moved in a city without a legit skateshop I have trouble finding gear in reasonable prices. However a lot of online shops appeared and one of them has very good prices at Osiris shoes mostly. Actually my last pair of OSIRIS was a d3 one 10+years ago, so I dont know what shoes they make now, I was mostly skating Circa all these years because my local shop was a retailer and could give discounts to skaters. I read some awful reviews for 2 models, the duffel VLC one and the Protocol, so I am hesitating in puting my money on Osiris. What is your experience??

Why aren't you shopping at your local shop anymore? If you're looking for skate shoes at a deal go look here. They ship quick, live stock updating and cheap prices

I moved to my hometown, away from the shop i was a customer for years. I still shop from there when I go to see friends but its a 2 hour drive from here. They also run an online shop and I shop from there if I find something good. The thing is that my hometown's shop is overpriced just like any shop in small cities here, to the point that online shopping is cheaper even if i have to pay delivery costs from abroad.

Thanks for the site but I am a euro-dude so i dont shop from the US.

I picked up a pair of the bingaman vulc in a super annoying purple. The insole is flat and offered no support so I swapped it for my FP Insoles. The Pros are the lace protection and sash pockets where I can stuff my keys and cash. I think they're alright so far.
*Edit: The sole is giving out pretty quickly I have probably skated the shoe for a total of 10 hours at max

No ones really wearing osiris shoes. If you are shopping online you can find any good skate shoes for cheap. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money or frustration on crappy shoes.

i skated the protocol a few months back, the sole lasted fine but the nubuck after ripping the first layer it just goes like wild fire, but it had a plastic layer underneath so that was cool, i'd think the suede ones should be pretty good.

Well I got some unexpected money from a project I did in the past so I gave 10euros more to buy some Nikeys that have very good reviews. Havent skated nikeys for 7 years after skating a crappy 6.0 model that had the sole fall off and that made my feet smell.

Quality-endurance>price>appeal

I dont really care about if it is skater owned or not. I dont believe consumers have the power to affect market with the way they consume.

The only way to avoid corporations is either communism or going to a deserted island and survive off nature..
