Turtles in Time fir SNES.
I don’t even have the console anymore but I kept my copy of the game

One of the best, if not the best, beat-em-up of all-time...

I loved the quasi-historical aspect of it and the soundtrack was immaculate...

Bury My Shell At Wounded Knee and Starbase: Where No Turtle Has Gone Before are excellent titles...

Shredders Revenge is an excellent addition if you haven't already played it. Each character plays uniquely with lots of replay value, the art style and music is faithful to Turtles in Time too.

I haven't played Shredders Revenge, might hav to check that out when I've got the time, I did play Re-Shelled a long while ago when it came out, I remember it being alright...

I was absolutely obsessed with the winter and summer games games for the C64. It was basically a selection of mini games with each being one sport, like ski jump, pole vainly etc. Looking back it’s insane how limited the game mechanics on these were but I didn’t care at all. Same for that one karate game that had like four punch and kick options.

Later I spent an inordinate amount of time playing Final Fantasy 6. I played until I had absolutely everything unlocked and beat and there was literally nothing left to do.

Did you ever have the Kentucky Derby game for C64? My brothers and I played that a bunch.

Also, we played The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy on C64 without ever reading or even knowing it was a book as a kid.

Edit: Is this the karate game you were referring to?

Edit 2: Did you play Archon? That was probably my favorite on C64. Of course, after Skate or Die.

Ha, yes, that karate game! I was in a weird position with the C64. I didn’t have enough money to buy any games so I could only get bootlegged copies a friend would make for me sometimes. So I never saw the covers of any of the games or anything like that. Plus being in Germany and not really having any English make my memory of it all even more shaky. But I definitely remember those graphics.

Won't miss the opportunity to plug 1 of my favorite channels - at 4:35 he talks about Karateka and its creator Jordan Mechner who also went on to create Prince of Persia

NES: T&C Surf, Skate or Die, Duck Tales, Adventure Island, Mike Tyson's Punch Out

Arcade: Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat

SNES: Street Fighter II, Dr. Mario, Tetris

Didn't do much gaming after the SNES until I started playing Street Fighter VI on PC, which I'm currently obsessed with.

Idk if was obsession but does anyone remember the dungeon keeper series? It was a real time strategy but also could go into fps mode. It was a bullfrog game. There used to be all these smaller game studios and I think was way better that way

I think everybody works for ea or activision now

Video game industry got rolled harder by corporate than the fucken skate industry, man

Edit - fucking myst bro! That was a hell of a game
That game made a LOT of money
The creators paid shitloads to build a custom house/hq

It looks HEAPS like the game
It’s in Spokane and I’d like to see it irl one day
