“There are many ways of going forward, but only one way of standing still.” Franklin D. Roosevelt
People are social creatures. We imitate our surroundings, and emulate those around us.
Skateboarding has always been rooted in a basis of community. We, as skateboarders, congregate together. We share our music. We share our history, and share our behavior.
In 2018, amidst a rapidly consolidating online culture, and a shrinking global platform, it is easy to fall into the habits and lifestyles of those that we surround ourselves with.
Thankfully, due to the intrinsic nature of our tight knit, kindhearted skateboard community, skateboarding has always been a positive outlet for men and women of all ages races and backgrounds.
Handsdown Brand is proud to present the global community with a new subset of skateboard culture. One based around the concept of “Keeping Ya Hands Down.”
Can you skate effectively when your hands got booze and smoke in them? Can you grow as an individual and contribute to your beloved skate culture when your hands are up in a fight? The answer is a resounding, NO!
To skate effectively, and be a noble steward of skate culture and community development, you need your hands at your sides, with your feet on your board. (Tricks look better with the hands kept down too.)
We at Handsdown are proud to welcome you to the most positive movement in the game. The Handsdown movement. We welcome you to be a member of our community, and hope that by coming together as a community committed to clean living, peaceful companionship, and a deep-seated love of skateboarding in its purest form, we can all do our part in building a motivational community for many years to come.
Welcome to the brand.
