Cupsole. Flexible w lunarlon insole. One piece upper. Durable. Traditional tongue. Good materials. Simple but enough.

First Nike was one of my favorites. Wish they would bring it back.

I think I got a couple new pairs on ice. 10.5 and 11? And the Rabona budget version too. Anyone want em?

They should think about redoing the K1 now since cupsoles are more popular than when it was originally released. Swap the lunarlon insole for whatever react/zoom stuff they got doing on. Kick it of with a Lakers colorway and then redo the Mamba colorway. Instant sellouts to hypebeasts.

I came up on a red pair from a friend; said they were too tight.
I may skate them.

They look great on foot and everyone seems to love them.

I wish Nike would bring them back instead of pushing these Chelsea boot Janoskis and other frankensteins.

I’m going to be the killjoy here but I thought the Koston 1 was an utterly unremarkable shoe. It was a zero midsole cup with a foam insole. The Koston 2 had a better, thicker insole but the upper cinched my foot in a weird way. Lunarlon was overhyped and packs out like a basic EVA. It’s basically a dead tech at this point.

The recent Nike team editions are structurally similar.

Koston 1 were the first skate shoes with lunarlon insoles, so maybe it wasn't proven enough. But even with that and the heel lock issue they skated great and looked better.

The second ones were way too slim and stiff

I liked how they looked but not how they felt. I guess they didn't suite my foot, couldn't skate in them. They were too snug in the toes and the heel slipped. Lunerlon was pretty nice though as I only used them for casual chilling.

I randomly got a pair at Ross years ago. I really enjoyed skating them, like halfway between a cup/vulc. Some younger kid at the skatepark was hyped on them I remember. Fuck Nike though, I won't buy that shit anymore.

I'm surprised some of you experienced the heel slipping. Koston 1 was the first and only Nike that I skated, and it was mostly due to the heel lock. Before that shoe, I was in an ankle brace for 2+ years, and with the Koston I didn't need the brace anymore. Total game changer for me. I skated that shoe exclusively for four years. The mid was sick too. That being said, I'm glad I dont have a swoosh on my shoes anymore.
