If there’s too much masa in the tamales you’re eating you’re eating shitty tamales.

You gotta make them small and thin where you can see the filling thru the masa. One hoja cut in half. This is the way.

A well prepared tamale is the best. My fiance's mom makes the best I've ever had, and I feel bad having to say that because the bar was set by my grandma since before I was born.

I love burritos too, but burritos are hit and miss more so than tamales. About 2 years ago the custodian at my old job offered me a "Strawberry Tamale", had never heard of it, thought it would maybe have just a little bit of flavor, I fucking hated it. I was starving and a tamale sounded amazing, but that shit was so sweet my teeth hurt, couldn't believe it's a thing.

When I used to frequent the bars this older dude would make his rounds bar to bar selling tamales,and would make a killing too. They were extra good if you were on the edge drunk wise, because they'd bring you back to life. Perfect masa to meat ratio.

Tamales de rajas is all I fuck with now when my body becomes 70% masa.

Burritos for life! But tacos are the shit, mariscos reign supreme since I dont eat much red meat anymore.
