I would say Louie and Hoban have roughly even odds right now. I think it comes down to who puts out the more significant video parts. I just saw the UCI kfbsnbs. It was unbelievably proper. Was it in a real part? The clip I saw wasn't. Given the emphasis on rail and hubba tricks in SLS and the Olympics, I guess Hoban is the favorite to win all of those contests now. Hoban skates like a videogame character. After such a perfect kfbsnbs, everything left to do at the UCI hubba is kind of a one-down. Someone could do it switch, but I think it wouldn't be any sicker. Maybe cab flip bsnbs, but that's just a less beautiful trick. Someone goofy could do a nollie 360 ollie kickflip switch backside noseblunt slide. That'd be one of only a very few ways to one-up Hoban on that spot. Kickflip to bluntslide the other side, like the Darrell Stanton way, would be sick, but still not really a one-up. Plus I think only Hoban could do it. I'd like to see him do a kickflip frontside noseblunt slide on the Long Beach hubba. Ah, bs 360 ollie kickflip fs noseblunt slide at Long Beach.  This would be a challenge I'm sure, but I bet he could do it.

I got a little carried away. But back three to noseblunt and impossible noseblunt at the Long Beach hubba would be realistic for the dude. I bet he could bang those two out in one session. I would love to see a kickflip front crook there as well. Dude is on a level no one else has ever reached. It's mind-blowing. Limits have to be reimagined.

some of the old stuff from ed was cool like the devil, the robot, the fist graphic, turtle boy, those alien things with the claws. should have just stuck with what was cool. trying to re invent himself as this larry clark is so wack. i love toy machine's legacy, but this graphic is just striaght up terrible. you are a legacy company now like shorty's. just keep putting out muska, smolik, and olson re-issues, thats all anyone cares about. you were fortunate enough to survive but you are absolutely blowing it with these graphics lately. the new riders are sick on toy machine but they dont need these "updated" graphics. should have "stayed in your lane". Blind has better graphics than this by a long shot

Maybe there's a meaning behind it? I really dont know to be honest, but it does seem out of place.

side note. Vintage "tasteful nudes" or even clothed model pictures would probably make great graphics if done sparingly and appropriately. Though i did have a CODA deck recently with a painting of a naked woman on it, and i kinda felt weird skating it at a park with kids...... idk jury is out on this one.

Soapbox melodics has some artsy titty pic decks that arent the most tasteless thing I've ever seen, but not by much. I believe Chapman has them on their site.

The story goes that Braden showed up to Ed’s place in HB to hash out the details of his pro contract & he’s welcomed at the door by Ed, who invites him to sit on the couch.
Ed then seats himself opposite young Braden, with an easel, canvas & oil paints between the two of them.
Braden, sensing what’s coming, tears up, lip trembling, and sheepishly begins to remove his clothes.
“What are you doing?!?” asks a perplexed Mr. Templeton.
“I… I thought you had to paint me in the nude in order for me to turn pro.” Braden meekly explains.
“Is THAT what Sinclair told you?” Ed laughingly replies.
“I actually AM going to paint you nude, but you can leave your clothes on this time,” he explains.
“I got this idea from the creative genius that is Mark Johnson, and the idea is to paint YOU as a naked girl.  Pretty cool, huh?”
Braden, looking as though all the joy has been sucked out of this moment, begins to put his shirt back on.
“Yeah, Ed. I guess it’s pretty cool.”
The newly minted pro sinks back into the couch, while the artist uses him as a muse for his first pro graphic.
As Ed paints away, the young Hoban thinks to himself, “I should have taken that offer from Primitive.”

It's not a great 'first deck' graphic but I think the discourse here is pretty overblown... there's been much, much more risque graphics including real nudity and simulated sex acts that needed to be covered to even have them in a skateshop.
