Not American but this thread got me inspired to look up the Australian gladiators (which will probably be an inferior product but whatevs) I'm dying laughing at this pilot. Looks like they just got some labourers to be the challengers. The host with the speech impediment is also a fucking gun actor now (look up mystery road)

did anyone watch both docs?   Watched the Netflix one, was interesting, but also pretty tame (i'm guessing because one of the directors was the Mormon who made Napoleon Dynamite)
