It changed the way my brain works, for sure. Before I would have said I was 55% extrovert, 45% introvert, depending on the situation.
Now? 100% introvert, no question.
I haven't been to a movie, gone to a live show, or gotten on a plane in four years. Not sure if I ever will. I don't even like to go to the grocery store.
And don't get me started on the people who push up into your space. I want to fight those people. I wish them ill.
It's a weird feeling. Two different personalities, one pre covid and one post covid.
I think for myself it was during 2013 I was having some jaded views about ppl and yeah I wanted to go out and be myself amongst others then to me the anxiety I feel with recovery has also stifled my experiences for big events.

Yeah personal space invaders are definitely ppl that I wish I'll will for and want to fight them.

I stopped going to movies when on several occasions at movies I had highly anticipated, people would just whip out their phones to take selfies or pictures of their kids while the movie was going. I don’t feel like paying for oblivious people to make me seethe.

The worst part of the first lockdown was I was just getting over a relationship and was ready to hit the town, like the weekend we were locked down..more than made up for it on the first week we were allowed back to the bars thou.
I didn't skate during the first lockdown as didn't want to be that dude showing up at the hospital due to breaking my ankle/tearing my acl etc while they (the hospital staff) are dealing with fuck tonnes of cases. The other lockdowns I didn't give a fuck, if they are making me go to work i'm fucking skating.
We had facebook group parties everyday during the first one, was dope as living alone and not talking to anyone makes you go a bit fucked.
I probably should have studied French or something instead of just being on holiday party mode for how ever many months it was.
The other lockdowns no one gave a shit, house partys every night (even lockin's at one bar), and the cops never said shit about breaking curfew, well here in my city anyways, heard it was striker in other citys.

I'm glad that shit is over.

And it sucked that it disproportionately affected kids, and they weren’t even at risk.

people don’t talk about this enough!

Because it is patently false.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Perhaps I misspoke. Last I checked, kids were less likely to experience severe health consequences compared to older adults and people with pre-existing conditions, etc., though that may be outdated info now. I didn’t mean that they weren’t at risk at all. They’re also efficient disease vectors, so I understand the reason why they got locked down like the rest of us. And I should have stated that I assume kids were disproportionately affected in terms of social development, education, etc. But I have no  evidence to back that assumption, as I have no background in human development. It’s also possible I just feel bad for the kids because I got to run wild and free when I was young. But if I’m wrong all around, I’d like to know, so please feel free to correct me if I am.

the developmental damage to young children is pretty well documented (and probably only the tip of the iceberg at this point). I don't want to get into a Dr Google war with anyone over it, but if you think otherwise you either a) don't work in education or b) didn't watch your own kids go through it...

Not to mention older kids and their MH. As a social worker and father, I am still trying to work out how to handle this, daily.

COVID sucked ass for Kids and teenagers. And it sucked big time with homeschooling over the internet and maybe still need to go to work, in case you didn’t have an office job. and even if you were able to work from home, it took some really big effort.

Nothing has more broadly and efficiently made me think less of humanity the way they acted in response to a fucking medical precaution. Like these are doctors and virologists telling you to social distance what fucking leg do you have to stand on. Bunch of fucking children and conspiratorial losers that get excited when people listen to them

Absolutely hated it. Was excited at first kinda how as a kid you wish the school would burn down cause it would bring some excitement, but after a month it sucked. I was in my late twenties so my friends were already starting to do less going out, traveling etc. Then lockdowns basically fast tracked everyone to being middle aged. All anyone wants to do on weekends since then is sit at home and play videogames.

Frankly I'm all about exposing snakes in the grass, the pandemic showed me what people were really about (when death, money, or pandemic you'll know who's false).  I'm not alone in my thoughts.and opinions....

Considering we had a very strict and long lockdown (twice) in Quebec, I don’t agree.

This included an 8pm curfew where you were encouraged to snitch on your neighbours and friends for most of those two lockdowns.

I hated every second of it.

It was meh, but my favourite part was watching how mad people got over having to wear masks.
i don’t think any of you are real, i think slap was invented by my mom to make me think people want to talk to me
