It’s very refreshing seeing European soccer stars in media positions (not just Zlatan) start to turn on Alexi Lalas.
Also, encouraged by England’s start. Kane’s initial penalty miss almost made me write the whole thing off, but I’m glad I didn’t give in to my dramatic tendencies. Never quite had a problem with the team selection if only because the thing that’s seemed to damn them in non-Southgate years is an over-reliance in calling up all the big names in favor of chemistry (the Lampard/Gerrard conundrum)
