Free bumpers for urrybody. I have a new iPhone. It's a fucking awesome computer. The phone drops calls on me about 2-3 times a week. Happened about 2-3 times a year on my 3G iPhone. There's a problem, but it's more the bleeding pussies of the fanboys that's causing a problem

I found the whole thing kinda weird. Also to me it sounds like they will release an iphone 4.1 on Septembre 30th, because they said the free bumper offer only lasts until then. Also if it is as easy as putting a non-conducting coating on the outside of the metal frame, why wouldn't they do it? My bet is they have orders for regular antenna parts which lasts until sept. 30 and after that they'll have a coating. Guess I should wait with getting the iphone 4 til then.

This is what I will be getting next month. My at&t contract is up and I am over the iPhone. It's an awesome phone and I've had it for 2 years. But time for an upgrade. The HTC will cost me less too, they actually give me like $80 for my iPhone.

I might consider dropping the iphone 3Gs and move to an Android when 2.2 is released.  The Engadget review of the Streak seems fairly positive.

I'm still running a 3GS which is fine since I always have one or two laptops in my backpack anyway... but from what I understand, if you put some non conductive tape over the little gap (lower-ish left side if the phone's facing you) on the new one it'll help prevent the shit from dropping bars or calls (outside of AT&T's random droppage I mean).

Yep. I got at&t and buy the go-phone for $25 at wallgreens and put my sim card in it.  People talk shit on it, but my phone has a feature their phones don't: I can skate with it in my pocket, and if it breaks, I don't give a shit. It takes about 14 of my phones to break before I lose the same amount of money I would have if I broke one Iphone. I didn't need internet and a music player and an interactive gps and 100 stupid games on a motion sensitive device in my pocket at all times 5 years ago, why do I need it now?

I have an EVO 4G.  It has been very useful this last week I've been on vacation.  I wouldn't have had such a smooth experience traveling and sightseeing without it.  My phone plan including unlimited data for two phones is only $60 more per month than my pretty much voice only plan with verizon.  This phone is by no means bankrupting me.  I use it to track my mileage running, it helped me find the most bomb ass thai restaurant on my birthday, it entertains my son and daughter with some novelty camera effects, I stream internet radio while I'm at work, I use it as a remote for XBMC, and it does some other cool shit.  I'm sold.  I really wished the iphone would have been better because I was planning to get that, but I'll probably get one in two years when this phone plan is over.
