a couple of years ago before i moved to california, i gave a vhs copy of photosynthesis to some local kids that had never seen a skate video before.
besides it being one of my favorite videos, i thought it wouldn't be a bad introduction.

Obviously Jason lee because he basically breaks down the essence of skateboarding right in the intro....

See, gets pretty monotonous after a while right kid? Now go out and watch some people who are actually progressive!
Are you a kook? If you would say this, the answer is “YES”
I quit skating for a time due to piling out

Tits are a good part of the female anatomy. I prefer a good ass, but for a kid, tits.

new signature.

With that being said, I'd have to agree with the Tiltmode videos. I love the "feel good" aspect of 'em, along with A Happy Medium. I was introduced with Dying to Live... it led me to have some of the best years of my life jumping off and down shit while my body could still handle it. I don't know if that would totally work now... kids are super stoked on all that tech wizardry.

some gonz

Definately! Probably one of the krooked videos where he's just skating down the street being wacky, jumping off things and acting a fool, and actually looks like he's enjoying himself. That'd get a kid stoked to just go out and roll down the street.

On the other end of the spectrum maybe something from Heath Kirchart, TIS or Sight Unseen.

Or a tour video like Super Campion Funzone, Hot Chocolate or Tent City.

kalis' part in the dc video
also, i think the chocolate tour is really sick because it portrays pros just having a good time skating. thats what its all about, right?

i thought it was the total disregard of females and the acquisition of a great sum of currency. That being said.......tour footy of the JR Blastoff comeback tour.

I feel like everyone should be shown an old Powell video by an older relative, no mater that it be ten years older now that when I was shown them. Seeing that and then staying up at night catching glimpses of the X games on tv I just couldn't link the two in my head. a combination that left me confused but still fascinates.

or any of the tiltmode Vids, or the jerry and Louie re edit from that osiris video, the one when boulala was on?

That's a great part, it's whole vibe is just fun. It's a shared part too which would stoke some kids out just because it shows them skating the same spots and having a good time. Everything going out to skate with your friends is about.
