that was canada's greatest athlete....i think it was steve lombardo....i think vans could learn a thing or two from nike...like put out more half cabs and in better materials...those croc ones were super good but the run was so limited....more limited than a nike limited run..if that makes sense...

HELL NO!  skating is totally a jock sport now. when you go to a spot no more friendliness and camraderie. everyone is trying to show how dope they are. checking shoes and boards to see who is sponsored. kids who get ANYTHING lord it over everyone else at the local spot. give a kid a shop board and he thinks he's god. its nike, dew, oakley, ALL these NON SKATE companies buying their way in, and with them they bring their marketing teams and agents and all the bs that is burning skating up. i mean look around you at the spot next time. you dress like all the other kids and they all dress like you. there will never be another gonz cause skating isnt that original anymore. minis are coming back...one bright spot. i dont like the nikes and the jocky kids who wear them who were too small or antisocial for football, so they just brought their jocky attitudes to skating. JOCKS MONEY AND SKATING DO NOT MIX.
