My best guess is that Cab didn't have a clue who Charlie Kirk even was before last week, but all he knows about him is that "he loved Jesus", because he heard it from Fox News.
I'd like to think that it's same with Lance, where the fact Kirk was a white nationalist doesn't matter, as long as he's a "christian". It's an incredibly simplistic world view, but it whitewashes all the hate under the guise of religion and makes you look like a moron. (But it's also true that many of the praying hands-emoji pro-skaters in the comments do align with the far-right views).
It's still pretty funny that a person of Mexican/Japanese descent is suddenly so in love with a complete fucking racist, who might've as well been a leader of your local KKK chapter, just without the hood. It might be the case of "Fuck you I have mine", where you think that the politics people like Kirk doesn't apply to you anymore, because you have made it. But Kirk would have been more than happy to send all the Caballeros back to Mexico.
