You have three days to ship typically,but I've sent stuff out after 4 or 5 days coming back home from a trip.

I sent something out today and noticed that the shipping date on the slip was pre-generated and set to the day after the purchase date.

Interestingly, I didn't have a "hold" on my money today. For the first items I sold, there was a hold on the funds until there was proof that the item was delivered.

Has anyone else experienced that? Do sellers with high ratings or good credit not have to wait for funds to be available?

I get like 3 emails for every sale:
1. You sold something! Here's what's in your paypal
2. Here's what Depop gets from your paypal (10% I think)
3. Shipping label.

And on the paypal app theres a history for each transaction to refer to. The app will have a record of your sales too but the details are usually in your emails.

I can't recall if there was a waiting period for money or not on my first transactions.

Thats something that happens with new sellers on paypal, It happened to me when i first sold items on ebay but when I started selling on depop i believe I didnt have a hold because of the history with ebay

the post office will accept it regardless of the date on the label - but you wait too long and the buyer might cancel and then it might get messy

Thanks for the input everyone, this information is super helpful to new sellers, including myself.
It seems like many have an alternate name on depop. If you're a PAL then make sure to let me know as I am more willing to haggle or for a lack of better terms, negotiate your deals.
