Hi as the title says, name your favorite brand of skate wax, unless you think skate wax is all the same and just comes in pretty colors and cool shapes.

Melt 100 grams of paraffin wax together with 10 grams of beeswax, add four tablespoons of vegetable oil. Let it set at room temperature, not in the fridge/freezer.

A more serious question: how to remove wax on coping? One day I've seen a guy with a "coping poop remover" tool, but I have no idea where he found that.

I usually use a card from my wallet I don’t care about to scrape it off.

in my experience the cheapest candle you find will be infinitely better than branded "skate wax".

I bought a cheap candle once and it just fell apart into little pellets when I tried to wax a ledge with it. so I’d say not all wax is the same. they must mix some candles with other stuff. lately I’ve been using the big candles they sell at the drug store. gotta admit though that some of that skate wax that’s really hard and goes on smoothly is nice to use.

FYI snowboard wax kind of sucks as skate wax. It's also expensive, but I could see others using it in a bind, as was my situation.

Using Spitfire wax currently. Seems to work pretty well, no better or worse than other brands.

Didn’t they only allow waxing with the inside of a Slurpee cup at EMB back in the 90’s?

Think I remember someone talking about that in an interview. Anyone actually try this?
