Thanks for pointing that out. I'm not a big fan of Blue Tomato and 95€ is indeed a bit steep for a deck in my opinion, but I'll keep this in mind.

I got you homey. Cheap twin blanks made in Berlin. Kicks are fuller than a Quasi but not as full as the Ishod 8.5, concave mellow but not flat af, all around middle of the road in my book. I skate the 8.25 right now. I heard peeps bicker about the wood or them being soggy but I don‘t share the sentiment. I find them ok and am probably going to order some more. You can also round up your order by getting some Blast merch which is nice.

Have you tried the Square Tail shape (not twin) by any chance and know how it compares to Hockey/FA, Habitat and the likes in terms of "fullness" of nose, concave, steepness of tail, etc.?

they were never made in berlin. i used them for shop boards. they might have some proprietary shapes but that's it. they print the boards in berlin but the blanks are coming from china.

Although the reviews for this deck here and on YouTube are not very promising, I tried popping it at home and honestly, despite the steepness, it felt quite light due to the crispness of the board or the wheelbase.



Before this, I had bought two Mini Logos and gave them to my carpenter friend to convert them into twins. Despite the concave, this board feels lighter compared to them. The Mini Logo is the one on top in the photo.

I will master the kickflip with this board. Wish me luck.

Been waiting for this one for a bit, their regular twins are beastly to skate. Shorter length + Shorter WB = more truck madness, maybe give the Venture Cast another go

After trying to get the ishod shape to work for a couple months i gave up and picked up a heroin yankou twin. What a difference, something about that 14 in. wheel base and longer fuller kicks makes flip tricks much easier.

Highly recommend getting one if you want to try something new. It reminds me of the welcome twin a bit just with a shorter wheelbase. Theyre a bit pricier but idc, I wont be going back to the ishod deck.

This round of Creature EVIL Twins is a seemingly new shape run (new shape codes: DL-170 (large) DL-160 (small)), and based on pics alone, they look more full. However, the dims of the 8.4 are identical to the SC-390 'Cosmic' twin (below*) so it could just be that shape (and scaled up for the 8.6).

FWIW:
The OLD EVILIVE twins were more pointy.

The new/standard twins are a regular full (like the Deathwish Twins); McCoy and Asp models (SC-365 shape <- this is awesome)

The recent but phased out McCoy and ASTA twins *SC-390/391 were very pointy, long and narrow (didn't like the 8.2, was too long, apparently Asta didn't either and McCoy only skates the SC-365).

Gimmecky for sure, looks like it would work in theory but a twin seems like a weird board to launch it on (and NOT put it on both kicks). Figure someone like Winkowsi would like it tho.

I switched to an 8.6 Polar (non-twin) as 8.5s were feeling too small and I wanted a longer/14.3x WB; I missed being on a twin tho, that Polar nose is H-U-G-E @7" and makes the thing just feel like a boat, these smaller, more tapered kicks don't.

I'm tempted to get one of those for a flatground setup. I usually don't skate well on boards with short wheelbases, but they make a lot of rotational flip tricks decidedly easier for me. The big kicks should also be right up my alley in that regard. But that deck sells for 105 euros here (that's about 117 USD or 173 AUD)... Way too much to spend on a deck I won't skate much.
