METAL

https://www.tactics.com/metal-skateboards/heaven-hell-85-twin-tail-shape-skateboard-deck

Dims seem suspect on tactics as I've seen them listed as: 8.5 X 31.8, 14.13" WB elsewhere

Looks like METAL finally has it listed on their site:

https://www.metalskateboards.com/products/heaven-hell-8-5

Dimensions
8.5 X 32.25, 14.25" Wheelbase

Quasi 8.38 twin tail is similar to Ishod 8.3 twin tail shape just tiny bit shorter, I think that Quasi is 8.38x31.75 with 14.24 wb.
They are usually manufactured at BBS.

The shape may be quite similar but the Quasi certainly feels more nimble, not only because it is shorter and has a shorter wheelbase but also because it is not an everslick like the Ishod. I preferred the Quasi over the Ishod.
why come?

What’s the story with the Primitive 8.25 twin wheel base? I see it listed as 14 in some places and 13.85 in other places.

Also. Currently riding the Ishod 8.25 twin tail Scratch Cat and I find the nose/tail a bit too stubby. I’d prefer a shape where the nose/tail are a little further towards a nose shape from a straight tail shape but not really a full nose. The habitat ones sound too full. Any recommendations?

The heroin 8.5 is full but WB is only 14

Dunno about the 8.25" (I think both were measured a handful of pages back when the initial announcement dropped) but the 8.5" WB measures 14.125, NOT 14.3.

Shape-wise, the Prim 8.5 kickshape and length is exactly what I wanted the Habitat twins to be like...instead they're boats. Prim kicks are not as SQUAREFULLHUGE like the habs.

Im riding the 8.25 heroin and have two 8.25 primitives to try next, both are pretty similar with nice full round kicks. Like Xen said theyre not huge square like the habitats.  Heroin is 14 in. wb and Both primitives say 13.85 on the sticker. They feel like they have slightly steeper kicks and concave than the heroin but its not excessive at all.

I am like you in that i did not get along with the ishod shape even though i tried for a couple months. Flip tricks just felt very off for some reason and could never fix it. Im sure youd like the heroin or primitive.

Just chipping in to say I've been on the Primitive 8.5 twin for the past 5 weeks, and I'm about to pull the trigger on another 3 of 'em.  Loving this shape just as much as the Welcome twins.

The Primitive twin I'm on now has the number stamp and 'made in USA' sticker and it's holding up so much better than the many BBS Welcome decks I've had.  It still has a good-sounding solid pop and has next to no chipping or 'crumbling' that the Welcome decks would have at this age.  Dunno what woodshop made it, but I'm diggin' it for sure.  Gotta stock up on these.

8.5 x 32.25(ish) x 14.125

I also really like these "US made" decks!
Has anyone found out where they are made?? 😅

People had said before that they were Pennswood.

Woodshop is in the USA and stamps numbers on boards, as per woodshop thread and other info earlier on this thread when I checked / searched.

No official confirmation but that is said to be correct.

People have also said Pennswood is very good, they love the stiffness and the quality of the boards, so it all makes sense that it would be the case, that these are also Pennswood.

Neither of my two primitives had any discernable markings/stamps.

Also, Long Beach Skate has their twins back in stock, also made in the U.S.A

The 8.25 has even shorter wb at 13.86 so I wonder if they are Pennswood or something else, or even just another "Made in USA" when really they are Clutch from Mexico?

No idea as to any other info besides the stamp pic and what others have said.

13.86" Wheelbase

6.93" Nose & Tail

31.94" Length

8.25 ishod easy rider twin (it's a II) - Maroon is nice, gray top.

Coming off an 8.6 (actually 8.5 over the trucks) Creature evil twin (also have the 8.4 evil twin on hand but sending it back; that one also measures smaller over the trucks, like 8.25); wanted something smaller/shorter.

I was this close >.< to getting that one, but the maroon was calling to me. Next up is the DGK twin the kicks look a tad longer (can't find the dims anywhere).

DGK is
8.25" Width x 31.85" Length
Wheelbase: 14.31"

slightly shorter WB (talking 1-2 mm here)

So assume 6.6/6.7" kicks?

Maroon is very nice too, didn‘t see it in Europe. DGK twin sounds nice, make sure to report back on it if you get your hamds on it. I know you will.

Price point twin birch decks....odd choice.

Thats interesting, ive never heard of birch being used before. I skated a bamboo board once and that felt pretty weird. I have no idea what the consistency or feel of a birch board would be.

Powell Peralta and Santa Cruz were using birch for some time on price point decks, never had one.
This new Creature twin looks like it is same shape like Asta cosmic twin (one that he found to long) shape SC-391.
It tapers towards kicks so it feels even narrower than it is.
