2 Real Hause 8.35 Twin Nose decks. #1 was picked up on a whim while visiting a local skate shop during business travel, had a great chat with the guy behind the counter and couldn't leave without getting something to support the shop. #2 was for a Spring time complete.

I know this was from the other thread, but I thought the question and answer might be better here, especially with the talk of longer kicks.

Guessing you haven't set one up yet, but I haven't seen these in person so just asking for now - do the kicks look or feel more on the "all rounder" side?  Mainly when compared to the Ishod twin tails, of which I have one of each size, but have always felt a little short overall for me.

Some boards like the Alien owlien deck just felt too long with everything, but I saw dimensions for the Hause boards and thought that might be a little bit more interesting, but didn't have easy access to any at the time.
In person the Hause looked super square/full/shovel to me.

Haven't had time to setup the Spring freshie, next weekend for sure.

Dug the AWS / Habitat and the Hause twin out to compare - the AWS has rounder tips, closer to a twin nose than a twin tail. I'd say the HLC ones I rode a few months back were a hybrid shape 50% of nose and tail. The Hause twin is like the FA / Hockey shovel nose but on both ends of the deck.

Length wise the Hause is a touch shorter at 32", the AWS ones were 32.25 and 32.5 in some cases with 14.25 WB.  8.25 x 32 x 14 was my Goldilocks dims for a while until I gave up and just stuck to whatever I could get my hands in terms of twin shapes.

When I am not on Huffers I tend to skate twins. Usually the Skate samples GFB but recently got a Bob Twin Slick.

Looking forward to the Bob Twin 8.75" which is out this summer.

If I could get a consistent supply of 8.75" twins, I would probably stick to that. I recently set up a Toy machine 9" twin which I liked but I had it set up with 9" aces and it was a bit more board than I enjoy. I'm going to set it up again with some lighter 8.75" trucks and see how that feels.

Again, if this ever comes out, I'm buying the whole run.....

If you see offensive comments, just let it go into one eye and let it out of the other eye, no tears and not sadness or anger.

8.75" x 32.61"
14.68" Wheelbase
7-Ply Construction
Glitter graphic
Twin Tail Shape

Ishod 8.75" twin tail

I would skate that 8.75" its just i dont want to have to be asking my guy to order me special stuff. id rather just buy what he has, and im pretty sure hes always gonna have twins. He said the shop boards going forward are going to have that shape, so I should be able to get an endless supply of them. Also, get the bonus of the tree doesnt have to be cut down in canada, shipped to mexico, then shipped back to canada... its just harvested + processed here, less wasted gas :)

Yeah, the Ishod twin 8.75" came out only once or twice in the past. The upcoming Bobby one is the same shape. Not DBX though sorry @bartharleyjarvis

Thanks! I loved the one 8.75 Ishod that I managed to get my hands on back in '24. Wheelbase was a tiny bit long for me as a Venture rider, but since I can now use V8s I'm dying to get another one. Should be pretty much perfect.

@BartHarleyJarvis 8.75 twin DBX would be so freaking dope. Listen up, DLX!

Do any of you guys only skate twin now?
I bought two of them, it's almost time to set them up, really excited

both 8.5", one is 14" with huge concave (HLC)
one is 14.25"wb with normal concave (Control).

The kicks are on the longer side, but not quite 7" on both.

The last 4-5 boards I have had, I am have been skating the nose as a tail just to get more life out of it + the trucks, so i think this just makes way more sense anyway. Hopefully I like it and they continue to grow in popularity. I think a lot more pros are starting to use it too.

I’ve been skating only twins for the last year and a half. Started with a heroin egg. Then the skate samples GFB. Then when I decided to ride a popsicle again I got the Ishod 8.25 twin shape with the easy rider concave and drilled the wheelbase down 1/4” on each end to 13.88. It feels like home now. I doubt I’ll ever buy a not symmetrical deck again.

Thanks both of you.

I think the squareness I had seen in pics has ensured I don't get one until I actually see one in person, but as they are now very limited here, I might just pass on them entirely, which is not a worry really.

Maybe more than anything I just want to see what it is like, pass it on to someone who does skate twins and then get their feedback, but I know that person doesn't like "full" or squared off shapes, so probably for the best.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

They've released Twin DBXs in other sizes. Tempting since razor tail will be 50% less of an issue.

I'm finally coming around to this

I didn't want to get one, end up loving it, and having to hoard/be picky

Finally got one and I fuck with it. Less to think about. Didn't take long at all to get used to.

But honestly now when I set up even a regular board that's not a twin, I find myself switching it around and trying a trick I'm having trouble with off the other side more often, sometimes just not caring which side it's facing even. I don't have "front and back" trucks anymore, they're just the same tightness and I don't care when setting up... It's dope

I really dig twins now, I just wish there were more available especially in 14.25 or shorter wheelbase, but if I can't get one, it isn't the end of the world. Definitely preferred though

I have a suspicion twins will become more popular than non
I remember I skated for like 2 years not even knowing there was a difference between nose and tail… 1998 was hard to find info to say the least

i did a few flip tricks on my Roger  8.5" twin last night, felt really good.
i have it set up on 58mm radial full + lurpiv 150. it did kinda seem like it was leaning a bit the one side but it wasnt too bad, i was not thinking about it at all when picking up the board to choose a side to go off of and it wasn't throwing me off at all. i really should have set up new trucks for it, but oh well. i think it will work itself out.

i cant say really for certain til i try the different one on T2s, but it is a lot more square shaped kicks, and a lot flatter deck from Control vs. the Roger Twin from HLC .

the control also has a longer wb. it might make more sense to use the longer wb trucks vs. the more pushed in ones for me because my flip tricks might be better on the shorter wb boards. i noticed yesterday when using my 14.75" wb cruiser you can have like really chunky shoes and have zero feeling but your foot will kinda be in a good place no matter what, where when you are pushing really fast up to something on a shorter wb board you gotta be a bit more mindful of where your foot is i find. all things to consider when setting up a board depending on what kind of skating you like to do.

I’ve been loving Crail G069’s for a while, especially with Ventures. I just picked up the FA Louie Lopez twin tail and gripped it up. Going to give that a try when my current girl deck has had enough.

Finally setup the Hause 8.38 Twin Nose w/ Venture 5.8 TIs (forged). Y'all were right it was a LOT of nose, nollies felt incredible and way more forgiving on the kickflips, held onto slides much longer too. Down side is the lack of precision on ollies, you'll pop but there's more area for the tail to hit off center and ollie at a slight angle. If anything it forced me to check my posture and weight distribution more before popping. Didn't do any shoves or scoopy tricks today, but I can see how having a wider tail would make 360 flips more work.

Interesting shape, the Crailtap twins are probably the most balanced of tip shape. I'll get that setup after this one bites the dust.

Crail twins is (still) the answer. Even after the switch to BBS. Best overall.

Interested to see how that FA performs. How's the shape, concave, and kicks look?

Came back to edit this after having enough sessions on my first HLC twin to say it's quickly rising as a top contender among twins.

I am very interested but am not sure about the wheelbase. If 148 T-IIs don’t work out, I have a set of 5.6 Ventures that I didn’t give away in case there was something like this.

The combination of Indys and a 13.875” WB seems wild to me, but makes sense for his trick and spot selection.

Your T2 will be even more wild since they shrink the WB another 1/4".

It's a weird WB but it's still a normal length deck they just push the tail bolts in 1/2" to make it a nose. I rode a Suciu twin nose with a 14.375 that didn't do that and it was horrible.

Right now I have Indy standards and AF1: does anyone run a Crail twin with those trucks AND is 6 feet or taller? I'm a man of stature and always have been turned off by short wheelbases.

Got the Jaeb "Debut"/"Window", Debut in both sizes and Window in only one (not sure which size, 8.5 iirc). Graphic super dope in person, both Debut decks have a gray top ply and natural bottom ply. Graphic super dope in person. They're not as shovel as you might expect, but definitely a very full shape.

Basically the Primitive 8.25 twin since that was his shape. Not a bad shape just not a fan of the twin nose.
