Your T2 will be even more wild since they shrink the WB another 1/4".

It's a weird WB but it's still a normal length deck they just push the tail bolts in 1/2" to make it a nose. I rode a Suciu twin nose with a 14.375 that didn't do that and it was horrible.

Right now I have Indy standards and AF1: does anyone run a Crail twin with those trucks AND is 6 feet or taller? I'm a man of stature and always have been turned off by short wheelbases.
[close]

Over 6 footer here running Indy forged on Crail twins. Feels long at times honestly!
I don't match the specs but just want to chime in as I'm 5'7"/1.7m and ride only twins. Been on many Crail twins but with Indy 144 forged hollows. Crail's 14" wb with Indys worked but 14.25 gives me more stability and control with flip tricks. Couldn't imagine going sub 14" (especially with Indy) unless you have a specific use for it because riding that all terrains sounds awful.

Not sure what brands will push it, but in the recent past Apex laminates dropped a Twin Tail (Shape I - I think), so some "Clutch" brands might come out with.  IIRC it is a pretty standard length and WB (14.25) across the normal width range

Just a PSA

Nothing else to see here.

After trying a few different BBS (Deathwish) decks, I am back on the 8.25 South Central twin tail, I like the stiffer feeling of the south central decks... if I land a trick in the backseat on a BBS deck, it is sogged badly afterwards...

If you like stiff, get a twin from Life skateboards, but also only if you like heavy as well.
I have a custom Mid twin from them, had them size it down to 8.3 wide with straight rails, it a fun board, but it needs light trucks

I checked them out, not into shaped stuff, and popsicle specs weren't what I was looking for... plus I had enough madness for the year :)

To quote Fast Freddie on another post, Baltimore Board Brewery is where they came from, but my question is "Can anyone order a board, or are there minimum quantities or whatever, or do they supply more to shop accounts?"  Then answered below, so there you have it.

https://www.instagram.com/baltimore.board.brewery/

Baltimore Board Brewery

Custom Skateboard Print Shop Out of @charmcityskatepark Baltimore, MD📍
Large Orders Available. NO MINIMUMS DM or E-Mail for Quote

I actually swapped from BBS to South Central, and get our Little Whale Skate Shop decks made at Baltimore Board Brewery now.

I used to skate the 8.0 Ishod, but I felt the tails were tiny and they sogged out immediately if I landed a flat ground kickflip slightly in the backseat.  I also had a few Welcome 8.0 evil twins and loved those, but it was a one and done run and I hated the graphic. Now I skate the South Central 8.0 twin, and have been for the past year and seems to have cured my madness. Also, you can also grab twins sometimes from Vu Skatehop, they get their decks straight from South Central.

Additionally, worth mentioning, BBB offers twin nose options as well if you want slightly more real estate.
Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Those who have ridden the Nicole Hause 8.3 twin - 8.25 or 8.5 trucks?

On the tape measure its 8.3 across but when I setup Venture 5.6 on them they look and feel smaller than I'd like. Originally had 5.8s on the deck to truck width ratios looked less skewed, but I definitely felt more heft of tricks.
Venture Truck Height:

5.0 & 5.2 LO
STANDARD - 1.88” - 47.75mm
FORGED - 1.85”- 46.99mm

5.0 ,5.2, 5.6, 5.8 & 6.1 HI
STANDARD - 2.09” - 53.09mm
FORGED - 2.04” - 51.82m

The 8.75” twin is hitting shops now. DLX has it in stock:

Hell yeah, good looking out. Going to try and grab one from the local.

How's concave? Are measurements true? Kicks look not so pointy and mellower.

I'm not familiar with Life boards, did you order from https://www.lifeskateboard.com/?

The concave is deep as hell, and the kicks are steep..all the shit I like

That is a custom, straight rail @ 8.3, version of the medium twin, all the other measurements are on the web site, and yes, the nose has a bit of an AA look about it, and I absolutely love it.

It is HEAVY and STIFF, if i ever order again I will get it in 6 ply, I am 150-155 and exert zero flex on this thing, some super light trucks would make it shine for sure, but I use it is a trainer for not running around and ghost popping all over the park, you have to work for the pop

Opposite what I like but glad you roll with it. Sounds like a nice and unique option as twins go. The HLC I'm on now also feels heavy and stiff and definitely have to work for the pop too, not bad things just had to adjust my skating and muscle memory coming from a background of Crail.

When I ride it with some Thunder Ti Light 3s, it is not too bad, I forget what are on it now, but they are just trucks, nothing special, so it is a bit heavier, I like it for the extra I have to put into getting it off the ground, my biggest issue as a returning old guy is I have a tendency to short stroke and miss my pop, so this has really helped

I am waiting on the 8.3 twin from Apex now, and also a shorty deck they just released, 31.75 with a 14wb, that IS my jam!

Anyone know of a board similar to the Ishod/Bobby 8.3 twin but a bit wider? I feel like the kicks on that one are the perfect length but when you go up to the real 8.5 twin the kicks get longer and the overall board does too which i'm trying to avoid. Having the slightly longer wheelbase is nice too.

Ayo let's get a twin report. How yall liking/disliking your current rig?

I'm once again trying to find that Goldilocks after Cowtown sold out of their HLC shop twins. Flat concave/mellow kicks/14-14.25 wb/true 8.25 or 8.38/no shovel no super full shapes. Got my eye on an Asta Santa Cruz but I think there's something better out there.

If you can put up with their graphics Jart and Plan B twins are also from HLC. HLC decks are a nice middle of the road deck - concave, kick steepness, nose/tail shape, dimensions are all medium.

Been on the Nicole Hause 8.3 twin for over 2 months and it's been fun, went from Venture 5.8 to 5.6 with 2 washers to compensate for the massive noses. I hope they keep that shape in rotation, if not I still have my stack of Thank You (Clutch) twins which I haven't ridden in a year.

WKND released a twin 8.5 (8.58 MC) which Grant confirmed on Insta is a twin, unfortunately only 1 model is in stock at the moment (Tanner Burzinski 'Memento Mori' (MC) 8.58).

I asked about it. They’re not doing the 8.35” but there will be an 8.25” and 8.5” in one of the fall drops.

I do want to stick with HLC though. Shit's really good for me. Looks like ima have to wait. Can't find a Jart 8.25 in the US. I like that new Sour twin but the 8.25 I only saw at Skate Warehouse and it sold quick. Habitat if still HLC sounds like their shape is a boat and I probably wouldn't like it. Don't they have a bit more concave?

That leaves Roger and Sk8Mafia, which in the past did several twins. Or if there's a shop twin out there from HLC/if Cowtown reups but sounds like they won't soon. Shop employee in April told me HLC was backed up and they might try another distro for their blanks.

The Habitat boards were the same as the Alien Workshop I saw, both BBS, but they were big and steep and long, so yes definitely a boat.  They had also used DSM for some boards but whether that made it to you guys there, I don't know.

Not sure for us now with future drops but I think they are still BBS in USA, although it seems they are going with other options for elsewhere, now under different distribution and all that going on.

Also it makes sense - HLC being very popular for cheaper locally produced wood in the US, as other woodshops are getting more expensive, every dollar adds up, so they could easily be unable to keep up with demand.

I know it has been said before, but people have been saying the Baltimore Board option is also good.  Twins in 8.0, 8.25 and 8.5 according to their online info, as per the Fast Freddie post back up this page a bit.

Thanks I do have that Baltimore Board place on the back burner. Not opposed to it or the other one Little Whale? that does custom twins it's just a foreign concept to me but yea, first time on this HLC wood and it's become a top choice. Idk maybe a Toy Machine or Opera or Jacuzzi could be good.
