I hate to agree but $100K in SF/Marine is not that great. Hopefully he bought a home when the market is down or has good rent but doubt there is rent control in Marine. I mean $100K for retail is definitely fine but he's just living in the wrong city with that kind of salary.

Unless his wife is also making $100k, having 3 kids on that salary in the bay area will have you in a studio apartment eating cup-o-noodles

Going to be weird seeing Reese at the Supreme store when it opens in SF. Asking a legend if they have additional sizes in the back.
But that means you have to actually go to the supreme store

It’s totally fucked. If his wife did work, then they’ll need daycare and that shit is regular. Asking for like $2k a month to watch kids while people work.
Iggy as well stay home and save on that.

Can only speak to Lafayette store, but they keep like everything in the back. I grabbed a hoodie off the rack and a camp cap, some dude ran up to me and told me that those were the display that he would grab one from the back for me. This was also like 8 years ago.

Very interesting shopping experience. I think they set it up that way to make the shit feel more limited than it actually is. Like someone coming in and seeing one shirt left on the rack like "oh shit I got the last one"

What city? That's about the going rate around me and I'm in Delaware. There are cheaper ones but they literally have zero educational value. They're basically like "we'll keep them alive till you get back"

Pretty sure his wife has a really good job, there was an interview a few years back and he said he didn't work he just did the mister mom thing while she worked and she was doing well enough that he didn't need to work.

A long time ago I was at an event at the Quiksilver HQ skatepark. I skated around for awhile then went to get a beer or take a piss or something and as I was walking away from the park, "Resse" was skating towards me and casually frontside 180d one of those full size plastic green bucket style garbage cans and just kept going and it was fucking amazing.

Ok

I can’t really do frontside 180s. Like I can, but they are so gross. And when you see someone do one, let’s say Resse as you described.....fuck. Some people look like they can speed upon landing. I look like my back has seized up.

Nine club fan boy here but is it just me or did Crob call uber, over? He also mixed Pulaski with pulhowski? Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that shit. Maybe he had one of Rogers weed beers.

Really good episode. Reese has a great sense of humor. Always thought his power was amazing growing up. I'd actually step foot into a supreme store just to fan out on dude. I never will tho, but to me, he's kinda legend status. I always wished I could.ollie like him.

Can't believe he lives Marin though. I lived in Sonoma county for a year and I remember reading making under 130k is considered poor there. It was when I was drinking heaaaaavvvvyyyy so I could be wrong. Regardless, just driving the 101 through, you can tell you gotta be doin good to live there. Maybe married rich. Haha either way to I'm stoked for him!!

This blows my mind. I live in Vancouver, one of the least affordable cities in the world and that’s about $130,000 Canadian. As part of a two income family that’s not a livable wage there? I know S.F is more expensive but by how much. A dump house in the actual city of Vancouver is 1- 1.5 million. But 4-5 million dollar houses are disgustingly common.

I'm in Orange County, CA so everything is expensive here (though not as expensive as the SF area).  And we had the same experience, I could get daycare for $1k/mo but it's exactly as you describe

From what I've seen of SF's homeless problem, I can't imagine the mix of derelicts, rich kids, and store security that's going to happen. Seems like it's going to be chaotic.

Man Reese is going to make a good living from that store. Ryan Hickey was making 60-70K a year working at the OG store back in the day, so Reese will doubtlessly be living large. Nice guy as well, he complimented the Stacks boards I have in my collection.

i am freakin jealous. Loved the stacks boards I had that werent DSM

Lol. Eldee is definitely a human. He’s like a raider on horse back who’s kinda scared to do battle. Somehow he closes his eyes and swings his sword wildly and wakes up in a pile of dead orcs.

I pay 3200 a month for preschool/daycare for two kids in the Bay Area. My wife and I both work, one salary goes almost completely to childcare the other pays the fixed exspenses. I try not to think about it.

I have 3 kids, while not in the Bay Area, still expensive. Oldest 2 are in public school, youngest is in a paid "preschool". I have one more year of my youngest in paid childcare, I cannot wait for the day that bill goes away.

I have a decent job, I carried the family of 5 the last five years while my wife was in grad school. She started working last week and gets her first pay check Monday, I can't wait to get this stress off of me.

The bs ollie on the yellow quarter pipe and the 5050 up the fun box ledge pop over the box are both at my childhood local skatepark. The 5050 is still unfathomable 20 years later. To my knowledge, no one has done anything up that ledge since.

Just re-watched the world tour video. Great team, great video. Had a bunch of element decks during that time. All 7.5 or 7.625. Cracked a few of those featherlights. I was so psyched on Reese and Tim O'Connor at that time. My best skate friend was all about Barley and Wray, so many Element boards. Weird how 2 years later, wouldn't be caught dead using their shit. Switched to Habitat cuz of Tim, Kerry and Fred
